OK, let's say we had a new civil war, and now it's the red states and the south, vs the blue states and the old south...where do you side?

    Me, north, and Blue!

I've had to read this question way too many times and still don't understand it.

It depends honestly. If its the blue south of the 1950's, I'd take today's south.

The blue states. As someone who aspires to hold elected office as a Democrat, when I die I want my epitaph to say "Making right-wing heads explode since 1995."

I'd do like the Brits: Support the side that benefits me the most.

Is becoming an expat in Bermuda an option? I don't feel as if I could put my life on the line for either party. Both are in the pockets of billionaires. I'm a true moderate and neither party represents fully my beliefs.

    Don't most nations do that?

(I mean, it's a genuine question, since I know a scary number of Americans don't support political ideologies that benefit them most.)

Well I kind of live in a purple state and I'm an Anarchist living in a household of very odd conservative republicans. Who are arguing at the moment over hair color.
So I think I'll just move.
