    Let's say what would you think of a relative of yours having successfully completed the assassination of Hitler. Honestly I would have been proud of him and considered him to be very honorable.

    It would depend when during the 2nd world war it had happened. There was a plot to kill Hitler, but because his tactics were losing the war. The plotters were German patriots. What if Hitler had been killed, and a new leader appointed who had either (a) listened to his generals and won the war; or (b) negotiated an end to the war which had allowed Nazism to continue. Both are possibilities.

    Hitler might have done/caused many horrible things but he also did some great things, not only for Germany but for the entire world. I just feel like the entire world know only how horrible Hitler was and no one discusses any good things he has done. Lets all just be glad his time is over and continue improving our current world. There's no need to constantly open up old wounds. :wink:

    Simply killing a leader makes the situation worse in many cases as said person would die a martyr. Also the main reason the Nazis lost is because Hitler went mad and ignored his generals, if he died one of them would replace him and they could've led Germany to victory. The last 3 attempts on Hitler's life by the British were canned as they knew Hitler being alive would bring the war to a close sooner.

    Very true. If you watch any Hitler movie it is very obvious he was insane, irrational, angry and not very kind. Heck even a german movie that couldn't understand entertained me because he get so mad at everything and it was funny even thought he was a madman.

    Yeah but in all honesty Franklin Roosevelt had his problems too and let's just say Roosevelt couldn't kept his hand off other women. So may not be crazy but somewhat of a pervert!

    well...if I am not mistaken the discrimination against "the japs" occurred when Roosevelt was still president but the Hiroshima bombing happened during Truman. Which means the real war criminal was Truman.

    As to Roosevelt's desire for women...OK, I think Kennedy had similar 'problems' and he was even among the best US presidents ever.

    He (Kennedy) even complained that “If I don't have sex every day, I get a headache”.
