Where You Want to Be in Ten Years

Current Age: 17
Age in 10 Years: 27 but I'll tell everyone that I'm 17

-Have finished my high school
-Enter to a college and learn architecture and graduate
-Work as an assistance of architect or working with something related to architecture
-Save money to buy a house
-Flip my own house and make some profits
-Success in fliping houses and organize a company of real estates
-Present a car to my parents and come out to them
-Move to a different country
-Have found someone who really care about me
-Get taller maybe around 5'9 or more
-Surrounded by people who cares me

-Hadn't change still same old me

Bit too much to hope for?

 

Current age: 24
Age in 10 years: 34...eek!

-Be dating, engaged to or *crossing fingers* married to someone who's awesome ^^
-Working a relatively low stress job with decent pay
-Writing professionally, perhaps in place of that job
-Own a car, and be able to drive it
-Be more comfortable with who I am, and who I'm sexually attracted to
-Have a better idea of what I'm sexually attracted to ; ;
-Be able to manage my depression/anxiety without medication
-To keep the friends that I have, and make even more of them by then ^^

 

Current age: 21
10 years later: 31

- Be accepted by my parents and my brother
- My brother will be 26 then. He has a family and i will have niece or nephew. (I always hope he is not gay)
- In a long term relationship
- Have a job with reasonable salary

 

Current age: 19
Age in 10 years: 29 (I'll probably say 27...)

Where I want to be in 10 years:

* Outside Uruguay, if possible somewhere more gay-friendly.
* College degree in Chemistry (major) and Computer Science (minor)
* Living alone, or with a "significant other" (If I'm 29 years old and I'm still living here, I'll kill myself)
* Working on a decent chemistry-related job.
* Fairly well-off with money.
* Have a 1967 Ford Mustang / 1970 Mercury Cougar in very good shape.
* Have published the novel I'm working on, and if possible another one.
* Have a steady BF who would love me lots.
* Being happy at last.......................................

live on a ranch with horses and cattle
be able to support us with my art.

Age in 10 years: 28

-working for the law enforcement unit I want to and having it be everything I want it to
-have a steady girlfriend who loves me very much
-to be off my meds and be successful
-to have had all my books published and reach my writing goal

...wow. It seems that on the surface I am asking for very little, but in reality that's a hell of a lot. The unit I want to get into is very grueling, very hard to get into. The PFT involves 75 pushups in a minute, 75 situps in another minute, 10-15 pull-ups, a 1.5 mile run in 10-15 minutes and a 300-meter dash. I have not begun to train steadily. I will need to acquire a driver's liscence which will be a manageable challenge but one regardless. Historically, few people with cyclothymia--none, according to my psychiatrist--have been able to go off their pills. They suffer nasty relapses and wind up in hospitals again. The writing aspect--a lot of it is business-y. Few writers think of this, but it's not just, look I wrote a good book publish me. It's MUCH more complicated than that. The companies expect you to have a marketing plan and the agents sneer at you. So that's goal number three. Having a long-term girlfriend will be nice, and it seems like that's the easiest thing.

It's a little spooky knowing I only want four things out of life by the time I am twenty-eight. Graduating from high school/college ties in with working for the law enforcement unit--they require a four-year degree from a university or college recognized by the US Department of Education. They also require a lot of other stuff. So I have a lot of work ahead of me.

 

Current age - 42
Age in 10 years - 52

Ten years is a long time to consider. Currently I have a great partner, a good job and we in the process of moving to a better home. So overall I'm reasonably content with things as they are now. My social life is a bit limited but that's sortable (I'm just waiting for the smoking ban in public places next month as that will make pubs more pleasant for me).

So what do I want in 10 years? More of the same really. I work in IT and website design, so who knows where that will be in 10 years time, but hopefully I will be able to keep up with it! Probably the main thing that I hope am still in good health. I hope my mum will still be around (her health is beginning to deteriorate but nothing serious yet). My sister's kids will have left school, so I hope they both get good jobs that they enjoy, and have fallen in love by then.

- Be a good driver
- Be done high school and going to university
- Have some of my music published
- Be able to play the trumpet (YES it will take 10 years)
- Be out to my family
- Still be really close to my mom
- Still be close to all of my friends
- Still be really happy
- Think of better life goals

-own the best bike in the world: the ducati. heck yes.
-still love the same girl. or...never love again, b/c frankly, my philosiphy is true love
should really only come once. after that first time, it's...not the same.
-have gone on or will go on VERY soon, the fastest rollercoaster in the world.
-still be working on my list of things to do b4 i die
-be free to be who i wanna be. and more. then i'll be happy.

-have earned my bachelor's (maybe even my master's) in vocal music performance

-have learned how to play the violin
-and most importantly (if such technology is available by then) to reproduce offsprings, after having changed my internals into a female (not kidding). :icon_wink

I'd like to be in a long term relationship with someone I love, or at least HAVE been in one.

Have some kind of job/career that I enjoy, because right now I am completely stuck with what I want to do career-wise.

Be financially comfortable, I'm not bothered about being rich as long I can afford to live and be happy.

Have moved out of my parents house.

 

Age: 16
In ten years: 26

I wanna have my Master's degree in Microbiology

Hopefully find some way to use microorganisms to slow down or even stop debilitating things like AIDS or cancer

Make enough money to live comfortably

Hopefully have my kitty still =)
