I'm finishing off some pancakes, and I realized, some folks may prefer cold syrup. So, when you eat something that goes with syrup, how do you like it? Hot or cold?
*Prefer* cold?? Um. We keep ours in a cabinet, so it is at room temperature. For most purposes, we'll have it like that, although I'll heat it when the mood strikes. I know some people refrigerate for freshness...but I can't imagine they'd do it because they prefer it cold. But then I suppose there are also some people out there who prefer not to drink alcohol, too. *wink*
Maybe that's just around here, but many folks ask for cold syrup. I was curious how far that preference extended.
I prefer hot, but I can see why others would prefer cold. I guess it's like how people eat hot wings with cold ranch?
All the syrup I've had in recent memory--which is not a lot--has been at room temperature. ****Warning: Old Fart Fond Memory coming**** Growing up, my mother would make, from scratch, syrup using IIRC brown sugar. This was always served warm.
arfff i prefer mine cold, since the pancake is sort of hotter than just warm so the cold syrup sort of balance it out
I prefer mine hot. I used to eat it cold all the time because my mom was convinced it would last longer in the fridge. Then I tried it hot when I was at IHOP, and man... So much better! :3
