Because it's fun to reminisce

Anyway, just t'other day, I was channel flicking, and what did I find?

Only my all time favourite show when I was nine years old, DANGERMOUSE. Seriously, I haven't watched it seven years at the least (after all, I was much too young and uncorrupted for South Park at that point ). I have to say, it was nice to just sit and watch it and feel all the memories flood back.

I also keep my old collection of Pokemon cards. Again, I never play with them EVER, but it's just cool to flick through them and remember all the fun times I had.

Plus, I found my old jelly shoes, something else I remember everyone else wearing in the 90s. *tries to remember when she wore them last* Whenever it was, it was before I reached double figures at least. And although they look absolutely AWFUL to me now, I can remember a six year old me thinking they were the coolest shoes EVAR.

So what gets you guys reminiscing?

hearing songs from the 90's. that always brings me back. also seeing some crappy new cartoon and remembering the older ones I really enjoyed (ie. earthworm jim, kablam!, captain planet... the list goes on).

i still have loads of Goosebumps books, and whenever I see them I always think back to school and everyone reading them too.

In work I was up in the kitchen ( I work in a cafe/restaurant) and spotted a bottle of Millar's Gold, a really cheap whiskey, and fondly remembered the times of drinking that with friends.

I'm sure there's loads more stuff, but who else reminisces?

    - Animals of Farthing Wood - quite possibly the best animated series ever. More drama and plot instead of comedy, and best of all: permanent onscreen character deaths.

Rugrats. Definitely. Also Baby-Sitters Club and Animorphs books. They were my childhood, seriously. I still have my entire Baby-Sitters Club collection taking up far too much room in my bedroom.

I love listening to 80's music on XM radio. Every weekend they have old American Top 40 broadcasts. A couple of weeks ago I was listening and they had a "debut" of 'Take on me' by Aha.

This is my childhood paraphrased, seriously I was the biggest power ranger fan could name every one and actually cried when the original yellow ranger died.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Lizzie McGuire!

I loved Gordo and I wanted to /be/ Lizzie.

  16. For some reason, cookies'n'cream Hershey's bars are really nostalgic for me... I'm not sure why.

And Aladdin. Best movie ever. I also go back to my bookshelf sometimes and see books that I read waaaay back when.

Pokemon is f*cking awesome. I don't know how many times I wished that I could have some Pokemon of my own... :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

When I was younger, I always had planned which six pokemon (because you could only carry six in the video game) would travel with me if they were real.

    1. Lapras
    2. Flareon
    3. Pidgeot
    4. Dewgong
    5. Raichu
    6. Ninetales

    Sad, I know.

I always had the theme song for Sabrina running through my head before I went to play hockey, it was soooo annoying..

POWER RANGERS!!!!!!! Honestly as a kid who wouldn't love them, the flips, sparks and explosions! But I am going through one of my nostalgia stages but have started watching Super Sentai instead (its the real power rangers, the american series takes all of the fight scenes).

Who Remembers Nintendo 64 and uber old school Super Nintendo.
DOS computers! Floppy discs (do computers even have them anymore)?!

Being an aussie I have to mention Skippy, sorry it has to be done... "What's that skip?" (tongue clicking) "Someone has fallen down a cliff" (tongue clicking) "Righto" Urgh that show was sooooo cheesy!
