Okay, we all knew this was coming.
    Who here is a furry?
What's been your experience with furries in the past?
How do you feel, generally or specifically, about furries?
    Positive or negative comments appreciated!

    I'm neutral.
I appreciate the furry culture, and I admire anyone who's open about it. It's not the way I feel or live, but I do appreciate it.

What's a furry? Is it like a Fury out of Greek Mythology?

Heh, that was cute, especially with the picture in your avatar ^_~

Assuming you weren't being sarcastic, a furry is someone who is attracted to or appreciates either art or roleplay that depicts humans as animalistic and romantic in some fashion. Whether it be dressing up in an animal costume or watching shows (generally anime and in particular yaoi/yuri) where characters have animorphic features such as human bodies with tails, ears, or excessive fur of some sort. For instance, the werewolves in Derek's signature are furry art. They're wolves with human qualities to them that are in love.

    Hope that helps.

You got the general idea. But there's one thing you can say for all furries: they're all different. No 2 furries are alike. They can be artists who draw anthros (like in my signature), just fans of the art and the culture, fursuiters (people in the costumes), or it can go as deep as spiritual and religious. Some people just like the drawings, and some people feel a part of their spirit is associated with their fursona/species. It's all about creativity, imagination, and diversity (one thing I love about furry culture is a lot of furries are bisexual/gay, and they're ALWAYS the most accepting people).
If none if this helped, check out this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrg9KhJbl0w&feature=related Always good for a laugh.

Not a furry, but furry-friendly. I was asked to work a furry convention once, and sadly, I had to decline (I was already booked). But I told them to please call me next time, and they promised to.

Apparently the term is 'furry-friendly'. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I don't mind furries at all, and I think it's really stupid how they've basically become the internet's punching bag.

One of my friends at school does a lot of furry roleplaying, and also does furry art and stuff. I look at the art once in a while, but not on a very regular basis. It was one of those things when I first heard about it I was... hesitant, though that's putting it lightly, to want to learn anything more about it. Just fyi, I was the same in regards to homosexuality and transgenderedness, among other things.

But then I did learn more about it, and my ignorance has been happily whisked away to a magical far off land where it can die.

Also, there was an episode of CSI that featured furries. ^.^

I'm not a furry. Very furry friendly. Dated a furry once. I'm an AB/DL myself.

I'm not a furry, but I really don't care about those who identify themselves as one. I understand that not all furries are hypersexual fursuit cosplayers, and I still respect the ones who are. It's just not my thing.

  14. Not really my cup of tea.

And ^ was the comic I thought of when I saw this thread. Damn the fact that you got there before me.

Personally, it doesn't really bother me much, although I'm not a furry myself. In my opinion, there's worse and weirder fetishes.

not my thing, but it's cool.
I can kind of see how it'd be
appealing, but it's not for me.

    Then you probably don't understand.
    Refer to my reply above.

  19. I'm not a fan.

But some of its kinda cute.
    [I guess...]

Not a turn on for me personally.

Everyone likes what they like, except if its a poop fetish.
If its a poop fetish...you can guarantee I think you're kinda freakish...

    I could never eat poop!!!

Hmmm... to each his own. I'm very furry-friendly but it doesn't turn me on... As a fantasy, maybe. But fursuits don't turn me on at all.
