Who was the first person/ people you came out to? What were their reactions?
If you haven't come out to people, who do you think you'll tell first and what do you think their reaction will be!

    I'll start.
I'm out to my best guy friend by accident. He sits behind me on the bus, and looked over y shoulder to my texts for my girlfriend. He asked me, and his reaction was "Aw that's adorable!! So you're bi?" And he clapped and hugged me. It was the sweetest reaction ever, and now we casually talk about our girlfriends. I don't plan on telling my parents until I'm an adult and able to make my own desicions. They wouldn't believe me because they don't believe anyone can be gay and "you just think of her as your sister. You can't love her, it's not possible"...so I'd only come out if I was in a committed relationship with someone who wasn't a guy.

Assuming coming out online is out of the question:

I was about 12 when I came out to one of my cousins and a friend who has two moms. It was around this time of the year and we were in the backyard. They handled the news well, and never had anything negative to say back.

When I was 16 or so, I think I came out to a college friend about being trans. I thought he understood, but later on he was one of those people who pulled the "I always knew you as X" card and that was just toxic. The first person to take the news really well as a friend named Drew who said (not verbatim) "Really? That's the big secret you've been hiding from me?". He wasn't a jerk about it, just I guess underwhelmed about the whole thing. That's not to say he wasn't accepting, he was. He said I'm a brother to him, which made me smile for the rest of the day.

The first person I came out to as pansexual (didn't even know it was a thing until last November-December) was one of my closest friends. We were talking about our crushes and because I didn't want to lie to her I was like, "I guess this is the part where I tell you... I'm pansexual" and she was like, "Really? Really?? REALLY??!! Aww, that's so cute!" xD

Kinda first time was when I told my best friend at the time that I like girls, I didn't even know what my gender was then XD She knew I was hiding something and we were texting, and yeah it's not a good way to tell someone and stuff, but I just got so frustrated and wrote that to her. I just went "if she can't accept me the way I am then we can't be friends", which was maybe a bit stupid, since she was kinda homophobic then XD she was like "WHAT? ARE YOU KIDDING? I NEED TO GO FOR A WALK." And like 10 minutes later she texted "I don't care who you fall in love with, you're my best friend and nothing will change that". That also changed her opinion about gay people XD

It was the greatest, scariest, most relieving thing I've ever done in my life. I came out to my mother the last summer. It was kinda emotional for me because I knew my parents stances on it and I was so afraid of losing everything. I never get upset about stuff like that but I was a mess because I thought shit would hit the fan all at once if my mother wasn't cooperative. Besides, I was still messed up with my faith at the time deciding whether God was real, was I going to hell? What of my past and my values. Everything took a 180 degree turn after my first year of college. It was so liberating and allowed me to think outside the box and develop a plan for my future that didn't involve my parents. My mother was and is tolerant of it and I am very grateful for that.

I told my friend I was questioning and she was AWESOME about it. First, she comforted me because I was nervous and gave me advice on not putting pressure on myself and then she said "You don't have to, but I'd recommend watching a lot of gay and straight porn, just to see:wink:" Then we both talked about the first times we noticed our attractions towards girls.

First and so far only person I came out to has been my mom. When I did it, I was scared as shit and could only muster up the strength to say "I'm Bisexual" before running out of the room freaked, we didn't talk about the subject for a while; but she eventually came around to it and was accepting.

The first person I came out to was my best friend. She's been very supportive, and even tries introduce me to guys she knows.

I came out to my siblings and brother in law while I was drunk though and that was a little more awkward, but they accepted it.

  11. A group of friends who were all female. They were like "REALLY?! Ok." And that's it.

The first person I came out to in the real world was my best male friend and it was at a café and I was just like (all nervous and I went incredibly quiet) I'm not looking for a girlfriend I want a boy. So I didn't directly tell him but his reaction was pretty much oh okay and he continued the conversation. It was so calm and it actually kind of helped me that he was calm because I was so damn quiet and nervous.
