I actually have a document on my computer titled "My Bucket List." It's 96 items long at the moment, but I'll probably add to it over the years. As of right now, 5 have been achieved, and two more should follow this summer.

These are things ranging from donate blood to having a library room in my house. Also featuring seeing all seven wonders of the world, getting a novel published, going to Disney World on a Gay Day, and being fluent in 4+ languages.

I love my bucket list. I occasionally open it, highlight the things that are realistically going to be possible soon, and strive to achieve those goals.

Traveling the world, seeing the pyramids, seeing elephants in the wild, sky diving, and swimming with great whites.

I have just one bucket: a 5 gallon red plastic bucket.

I don't have a formal list. Furthermore, the list would vary day to day, and as my optimism/pessimism cycles... I'd like to have some fiction published, for example, but I am feeling less than optimistic today, having gotten a "thanks but no thanks" e-mail from one magazine last night...

This was one item that was big when my mother was still alive. In the period between when my father left, and the time we moved out of my childhood home (when I was about 21), we actually changed the name of the "living room" to "library." But, alas, we never got around to adding the required bookshelves.

These days I'd like a "study." Same general idea of book filled room, but smaller scale, and more personal.

    Some items on mine:

-Attend an Olympic Games at some point.
-Visit South Africa and/or Madagascar. I've actually been to Kenya and Morocco, but there is more of the continent I would like to see, as the avowed Afrophile that I am.
-Be someone's best man at a wedding
-Publish a book. Whether it is a work of fiction or non-fiction, I'm not sure. But I would like to do that some time!

Go to a lot of concerts, be in a band, write a book, go on a road trip with friends or a girlfriend-oh and settle down most probably with a wife and get a dog or a cat.

Travel as much as possible (especially to Japan, England, Italy, France, and more cities in the US), scuba dive, hang glide, practice ice skating, work with rescue dogs, learn as many dance styles as I can, watch Les Miz live preferably in a language I can understand but at this point I'd even be happy with seeing it in Chinese.

Posting on this forum! (this is my first post!)

I do actually have a book here with a list in it. There are a few things written in - most of them to do with travelling. I'd like see a Van Gogh painting in real life, visit Paris, travel internationally all by myself (I've done lots of travelling but never alone) etc.

Hopefully I'll be able to cross a few off this year! I'm just about to book a ticket online for some solo travel.. as soon as I work up the courage.
