Hello Everyone. I am planning a two week vacation in Wales in June. Cardiff seems to be gay-friendly, but I will also be spending some time in the North around Llandundo. Does anyone know if there are any gay bars or clubs nearby, and if not, how accepting are the folks up there?
Thank God, I opened this expecting to read about some really off the wall weird fetish. You have no idea how relieved I am right now.
You mean that place with the dragon on the flag? Yeah, I understand they're the most anti-gay part of the UK, meaning they are more accepting than practically anywhere in the US. I hope a few locals reply, here! I couldn't telly you anything that you couldn't learn from a few gay-oriented travel-advisory sites that are as common as muscadines in Dixie. Oh, and I am attracted to right whales. Because they are so right.
Whales. That's what I thought too! Well. You know what they say about whales... They are just gay sharks
Can I just say that the people mistaking Wales with Whales are typical Americans. Cardiff is not anti-gay and I'm sure there are loads of gay bars. I don't know any because I don't go to clubs but there are hundreds of clubs in the center. I lived in Cardiff for my whole life and never heard of anything anti-gay happening. ---------- Post added 19th May 2015 at 08:42 AM ---------- I don't know where you have got that Wales is the most anti-gay part of the UK. I think Northern Ireland is by a mile the most anti-gay part of the UK. They actually have anti-gay political parties.
Yeah In Wales were I lived on and off They are pretty accepting of gay people from what I've seen, of course you might get some people [like everywhere] who don't really like gays but Cardiff has a bigger gay scene than most of Wales I'd say.
