For dinner tonight, I gorged myself on caviar on champagne. It was all left over from my brother's Confirmation reception. I feel so high class like I'm Holly Golightly! I love caviar =D
Put very bluntly, yes. It is. But they're not raw. They're processed and salted before they're canned. So basically, they taste salty. And they pop in your mouth. 'Tis deliciousness.
I read the title as, "I feel so [under the influence of illicit substances], [my students]!" Needless to say, I was intrigued. I've never had champagne or caviar... In fact, I don't actually even know what a confirmation is... Hmm... To wikipedia!
AHA! You fell for my scheme... and really bad grammar... high-class should be hyphenated... I think or maybe one word... I DON'T KNOW!!
Actually, I think it would be correct as is. A hyphen might clear up some ambiguity, but I think it could stand alone just fine. It's a garden path sentence. xD
Oooooh, fancy schmancy. I've had champagne, and I've only had caviar on sushi. XD But champagne is delish.
I'm presuming by Confirmation, you mean your brother has just been confirmed into one of the flavors of Christianity? I'm glad you had fun, although I have no clue how anyone could enjoy caviar. I've had it, and it's like salty tapioca pudding. It's just awful. Champagne, on the other hand, is just fabulous!
Champagne is lovely, but I don't like salty foods, so caviare is really not my thing. Definitely high class, though. Jolly good, old chap.
I love both. And lobster eggs! I can understand how caviar/lobster eggs are acquired tastes but man, I love'em. And roe as well, since they taste similar. Animal innards are delish guys, don't waste'em. Use the whole animal! I love animals.
