This may be a personal question for any of you, but what's one thing any of you have done that's gotten you in trouble with the cops? I use to be embarrassed to talk about it even though things worked out for me in the long run because I have a DUI. It's been about a year since I got mine and it's been pretty difficult but now I'm pretty much passed it; I payed off all my fines, finished 3 months of counseling meetings, 180 hours community service and even 5 days of jail. My original fine was supposed to be $2300 but since I was unemployed and a full time student, the judge was amazing enough to lower my fine to $400 and what's even better is my car is going to be paid off in 2 more months and my insurance is only going to be $60 (with Infinity) which is AMAZING considering my original insurance company (Allstate) wants me to pay $3500 every 6 months (yeah, hell no). Welp, that's the most that's ever and EVER WILL happen to me as far as 'running into the law', what about you?

    I got a speeding ticket 3 years ago (67mph in a 50, doh!) £60 fine end of.

I didn't feel bad for breaking the law, I just felt stupid for getting caught

But one ticket in 5 years having never owned a car with less than 200hp is pretty good in my book!

I didnt get caught but i was smoking a joint with a friend and when we finished we realised we were about 10-30m from a police station.

Lol and the other time i was at my friends place and we smoked a joint and went out to get some food. When we returned, after 2 minutes we saw red and blue lights and realised it was the cops. I thought i was screwed but turns out they came for another matter that happened on the street RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE

What a coincidence, if me and my friend stayed a few minutes later then we would have gotten introuble. but yeah if anyone is reading this, i am not a stoner nor do i suggest smoking cannabis.

Got pulled over twice. The first cop caught me speeding and gave me a break. He was cool. The 2nd was just being a dick. He beeped his horn at me from the next lane(I didn't know it at the time) and pulled me over for not looking at him.

As a freshman in college, I backed into someone and got a ticket. The judge ended up waiving all fines and costs because I was volunteering that night to drive drunks home.

I must have been 13 or so at this point, but a few friends and I went downtown to goof off sometime over winter break. We went to the roof of the movie theater for some reason and one of them had the bright idea to pick up a block of ice bigger than her head and throw it over the edge. We're all freaking out and try to run down the stairs to the parking garage. It's impossible for me to get to their speed because I slept on the floor of their place the night before. We finally get down and mall cops are there waiting for us. We got off with a warning, but let's just say it was an awkward ride home.

My friend and I got kicked out of a local mall for doing stupid teenager shit when we were teenagers. The worse thing we did was dared each other to steal something small, my friend stole a keychain and I stole a Hot Wheels car. The security guard said the store didn't want to press charges which I'm pretty sure they couldn't anyways for the small amount we stole but whatever, we were banned for 1 year

Not sure if I'm allowed to say this on here but I'll say it anyway (Mods, feel free to take it down if it's not allowed)

When I tried to end my life at 15. I had tried previously but it didn't work. The following school year, I had a run in with my old bullies from the year before (different grade, different school) and the bullying from them continued on. I cracked and started acting different to the point where my personality was eroded and I was a completely different person. Let's just say that a lot of bad things happened that year and the cops got involved. I didn't hurt anyone or put anyone else's lives at danger, except mine.

Probably a common assault/battery charge. I was arrested on three occasions but ended up at the youth court on my third and final offence. I was 16. The end result was community payback or whatever they call it.

It's not the worst thing I've ever done but it's the only time I've been to court.

There was a time in High school when some members of our Men's choir, including myself, would playfully gang up on a certain kid. He said he was fine with it many times before. Had he expressed any disapproval, we would have backed the hell away from him. Nobody in the choir was malicious.

One day, we were doing this for the umpteenth time, and I decide to give him a 5-star, where you spread your hand out as far as it will go, and slam it to create a loud sound. The sound is always worse than whatever you can deal. It was the most harmless move I could think to give. As my hand goes down in the middle of his back, the choir teacher turns around and sees it. Thinking I had punched him in the back, he decided to send myself and the student who had started the day's mischief to the office.

In the office, I am told that directly from the school officer that nothing will be made out this time around, but if something like what I had done happens again, I would be charged for battery.

Of course, me being me back then, and the kid who I had hit, a pretty close friend then, and maybe only a bit more distant now, decided to joke about the whole thing, and we'd slightly touch each other, giggling "Battery".

Other than that, I once got pulled over for expired registration.

Oh yeah, almost forgot about this one:

Too many times, I'd park in one spot at the train station, and pay for a different one, forgetting where I'd parked. So I ended up getting 3 parking tickets within the month, and forgot to pay them until almost too late. Had to go to court under my father's name and pay for the tickets at the desk. Judge was real chill about it.

I missed a lot of school days during my senior year for official school business, awards receptions, illnesses, etc. I thought I was OK because most were excused, but I guess the paperwork was never filed, so I got a court summons for "failure to attend." Get this, the court date was a week after graduation. I went to the court for the summons and the family judge asked if anyone summoned for truancy had graduated and I raised my hand and told me to approach. She asked if I had my diploma and I said no (I actually forgot it, but brought all the excuses for the days absent :lol:slight_smile:. Luckily, the truancy officer had actually gone to my school's graduation and told the judge that "yeah, he graduated" (I graduated third in my class and my name was mentioned many times on the program and such, so it was hard to miss :lol:slight_smile:.

Case dismissed on the spot. Didn't even have submit my files :frowning2:.

(Funny side note: I was dressed up in suit and tie and all that and one parent approached me and said, "are you a lawyer?" and I just laughed and said that I just graduated high school .)

I've never been in this kind of trouble.

Once I slept on a bench near a train station in the 'elite' part of a town with my gf and we tried to hide that the cops won't notice us.

Haven't really gotten in trouble. The closest I've gotten to getting in trouble was when I was delivering flyers. It was in a very rich part of town, so a lot of the houses were very confusing. One person reported me to the police. When I told the police my side of the story they took my side.
