which piece of clothing do you put on first?

So, if I'm just getting out of bed, shorts.


In getting dressed and ready "for the day," I haven't noticed any patterns. Pants more often then not I guess, but I'm just guessing.

 

If I already have my underwear and undershirt on, the first piece of clothing I put on is my pants/shorts, followed by shirt, then socks/shoes.

I guess guys might be more inclined to put on bottoms first because we can actually walk around in an undershirt/shirtless without problems. Girls might be more inclined to put a top on over the bra.

 

After a shower and after putting on underwear, it goes pants/shorts - shirt - socks - shoes - (and jacket if it's cold enough)

But if I'm just changing without a shower, it's whatever I feel like haha.

 

After I put my underwear on, I always put my shirt on first. Probably because I often tuck my shirt in, during the colder months at least.

 

Assuming underwear is already on, the next thing I usually put on is pants/shorts.

 

I'm very anal about patterns and routines. First is underwear, then pants, bra and antiperspirant (wait a few minutes for it to dry), and then shirt. I only wear socks in the winter so when I do, they are last.

 

Bottoms are always put on after underwear.

 

I always put on socks first. I don't wear socks to bed. The tile in my bathroom is always cold obviously, I hate it. Plus my feet are always cold in the first place.

No particular order, I just put on whatever's closest to me first.

 

For me it goes socks>shoes>shirt>pants/shorts.

No, seriously. I always take a shower in the morning, so underwear and socks, then bottoms with belt, then shirt, jacket/coat if necessary, and headpiece if need be.

99% of the time, I put my right leg into my pants first. So, yeah, fun fact bonus.

 

I voted "pants" although it depends on the moment. Socks might be first if I happen to be changing clothes from one outfit to another. Dressing from scratch, though, pants generally go on first.

Pants first usually, then top, then socks. Except in the summer when I'm inclined to do a Homer Simpson and just go about the house in my underpants (unless I'm expecting the postman or whatever).

 

I most often slep in an oversized t-shirt. So I'll just slip on some pants first, walk around like that for breakfast, then get the rest of my clothes on.
