So it is June and there are Pride marches and celebrations all over the Country/World. HAPPY PRIDE! Here in the San Francisco Bay area we have one of the largest in the world. That doesn't mean it is better. Just bigger. What is the Pride celebration like where you are? (!)
I live outside city limits, so there isn't one... ...but one of the ones I go to (Denver) is third largest in the US. There's another I've been to as well (Boulder) that's allot smaller. Both ofcourse have a totally different feel
We have a parade that goes for three blocks to court house square. Then we have a gay party all day on the square!(&&&)
The pride parade here in São Paulo is really big, it's one the greatest events we have in the city and they say it's one of the biggest in the world, as for quality I wouldn't know because I've never been.
The closest pride event is in long beach, CA. And it looks like a big drunk fest, Not sure if I want to go.
There isn't anything where I am, but even if there was, I wouldn't show my face because I'm afraid I'd be fired if someone recognized me. There is apparently one in Seoul, but I think that's it for Korea.
I have pride in Dayton this Saturday, and pride in Cincinnati on the 28th I believe? Either way I haven't gone to either, and I can't go to the one in Dayton this weekend because I don't have any cash for parking, gas, food, etc :S Maybe I can go to Cincinnatti with some friends or my parents or something like that <:3
Here in Chicago we have a two-day fair one weekend and then the parade and rally a different weekend. I don't know how many people attend the fair, although it is one of the largest of many fairs held in Chicago during the summer. The parade pretty regularly draws about a million people. Both events are a lot of fun.
Here in São Paulo, a lot of turists is coming to great 7th June's LGBT Parade! I will go with my best friend! I'm so nervous, I'm never been a gay parade before!
In Montreal we have Pride Week, with a Community Day that comes the day before the Pride Parade, which attracts tens of thousands to either participate or watch.
