Hey all, Yesterday I was walking down the corridor of my workplace and I saw a LGBT group poster and it was promoting this forum as a safe place to talk about LGBT issues. Obviously I'm not going to say anything that gives myself away for breaks any forum rules but for all I know I might be giving advice to someone I know in person! Now I know I at least work with a fellow EC'er. Small world eh?
My LGBT therapist recommended this place as well. She had printed out the home of EC and lo and behold AG's picture is one of the ones featured. "This is the forum I already go to, and I'm friends with him." LOL.
My mom was at a pflag meeting and EC was recommended to her. I saw her once on her phone reading posts on here as she walked by and I said huh! How did you get on there? Then I saw empty closets in her email and I worry that she's secretly on here.
^ Heheheeh... She's watching you... I wish that EC was promoted at my school, but then again that's basically a death wish for me, so maybe not.
Totally agree with you Chip! I really hope Empty Closets continues to grow. I will never forget how well i was received here, and how this forum helped me in the past. There are people needing help everywhere. I hope each one of us continues to provide advice and general help for those in need. Let's keep rocking, everyone! :eusa_danc Keep being awesome!
I would promote this forum to anyone struggling with their sexuality or gender identity and coming out. It is run very professionally and is truly a safe and comfortable place. I also like how there are people of all ages on here. I have learned a lot from people older than myself and people younger than myself.
