I denied my same-sex attractions for my first 46 years. I identified as a bi-married man for the past 5 years, and just last week accepted that gay is a better identification for me.

For as long as I can remember, I could not get into the home improvement projects that my wife wanted me to do. Last night we were at a friend's house and he was showing us their new kitchen and explaining what work he did himself. I noticed and told him how I liked how the white cabinets picked up the white in the marble counter top....

And then it dawned on me - I'm gay of course I'm more into the aesthetics than the construction.

    Do others feel this way?

For me I'd say its both the aesthetics and the construction
    (and ofcourse doing work myself)

Yes as someone that has had an eye for real estate and interior design, I always enjoyed the aesthetics over the actual construction.

I remember as a kid I'd build and furnish house after house on The Sims while my friends could care less about the house and more about the characters. Oh how I wish I went to college for interior design instead of business!
