what i mean is have you ever said anything or done anything that made your sexuality really....obvious? without it being something like kissing someone of the same gender or telling someone directly.

haha cos i have one: me and a bunch of people from my class were walking through college when they all suddenly started looking to their right....i couldnt figure out what they were doing so i looked too.....but when i looked it was too late! i already had appeared to not notice the "hot girl" on the right so i went "oh yeah...uuuuh i noticed cool...." haha totally nailed it actually they appeared to believe me:lol:

LOL I took your thread title literally.... answer to that is no.

    And yes,

This was several years ago before I was out.

I was with a friend (I was driving). We were in the parking lot trying to find a place to park. This really hot girl walks past us across. I think I stared for a little too long. My friend was like "yeah she's hot huh?" lol you know how they have the directional arrows painted on the concrete? In or out. Well I tried to play it off like I was looking at the arrow trying to figure out if the arrow was pointing in or out. He didn't buy it. It was pretty funny and I still remember it to this day.

I saw the thread title and thought "oh no, someone's getting banned"

A couple of months ago we were talking about a gay friend at dinner and how he has this whole fake gay act and just talking about it got me really wound up inside and I just said with a raised voice and an annoyed tone "is there no such thing as masculine gays?".

Does 'almost' count? Work discussion about a TV show that wasn't very good but we had all watched it. One coworker says she only really watched it because of the cute lead actor, another agreed right away, and because I totally watched it for the same reason I almost said "Me too!"

Almost. Caught myself though, nick of time.

I can recall a handful of situations where I almost "exposed" myself.

Foz's comment reminds me of an incident, instead of exposing myself, I almost exposed another. A friend of mine was reading through one of my books. He commented how the deep friendship shared by the author with another person looked "gay" and "gross". I was midly annoyed and mostly amused. Because my friend was not qualified to say that at all. Who used to cuddle me at nights? Who hugged me whenever he was under stress or needed something from me? Who held me by the hand and dragged me places because he was afraid of being alone? I just kept my laughter inside.
And I can assure you that guy's 100% straight.

One time these people at work were talking about how some guy "needed a wife" and I said "I could use a wife." This woman who is really religious heard me and just started laughing like I'd said something really funny so I did not point out that I wasn't kidding.

He is gay, but the way he acts is a full on show. He talks in the gay voice but once he gets drunk it's gone, when he gets in the car he's all flamboyant but within 30 minutes all that has gone. I could go on and on about how annoying he is.

Recently I was drunk and kept saying that although I wouldn't date one friend of mine, I wouldn't mind hooking up with him.

got another one for ya: guy showing around a picture of a "hot girl" (im saying that cos im not sure when a girl is hot or not....haha my profile to your left explains that) but he showed me it and instead of replying "haha neat!" or "cool!" i replied "why?" and he went "uuuuh....cos its a hot girl" and i went ooh....he then looked at me and went "what are you gay?" and i went "oh no im asexual" he looked at me funny, he had miss heard me and thought id said the truth, gay. so i quickly corrected him to that lie of asexuality but i think he bought it.....sort of i dont know i kind of have a crush on him....

Yes, by failing to clear my browsing history. This is how my mother and sister started suspecting that I'm gay, and the reason that my mother kept on asking me if I'm gay, until 2 years ago when I finally told her outright, rather than it being an unspoken truth. She obviously wasn't surprised at all, nor did she care (well, she was happy that I told her but wasn't concerned in any way).

Someone asked me if I wanted to paint my fingernails.....
    I did not lie
They later asked me if I just wanted to be feminine and said I never said that
I later told them notice how I did not deny it (a class later, they had no idea what I meant).

So in history class one day, some friends wanted to listen to some music on youtube so we used my computer. They were watching my screen for a while. Then I realized in the "suggested vids" on the side of the screen, there were some ummm....lesbianish things and they really stood out if you know what I mean:slight_smile: and I was just praying they didn't notice, but they probably did.
Also I think my friend may have noticed me on EC.

I thought that's what you were saying. Gah yeah. I can see how that could get old. Must be exhausting on his end. Ha has he had an awkward moments in a group setting? Like has anyone confronted him about it? Lol trying to imagine how that conversation would go and it's pretty amusing in my head.

A couple of years ago, before I was out, my friends and I were talking about social issues in the US, and someone said, "There are a lot of people who disagree on gay marriage" and could have sworn that I just heard marriage, not gay marriage, so I immediately said, "Oh I am not getting married." The guy who said it was like, "are you coming out?" because he just talked about gay marriage. Anyway, I was not ready to come out of the closet so I said no, and that I was just saying in general.
Looking back now, I wish I said yes I was gay because it really did not matter and I live in a safe environment.

I've tossed out the term "breeder" every now and then to describe people with too many kids who had no manners and whose households were generally annoying places. I don't know if that qualifies.

Yeah I thought this was going to be about something very different

And no, I don't think I have. Unless admitting that I love "Thoroughly Modern Millie" counts :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Hum... Maybe, if a mistake counts.

I was talking with some friends about a game when suddenly they changed topic out of the blue. If I remember well they started complaining about this guy who would always show off to teachers, and I thought they were talking about one of the game's characters so I said: "But I actually like him". My friend looked ate me and said "Wait, are you gay?" then "Wait, weren't we talking about the game?", after that they started laughing.
