I usually skulk around, watching the female clothes that I don't dare go in and try on usually... sigh...

Malls are one of the only ways to spend time here so it's quite common for me to go there. Usually to watch a movie or just hang out at the book store (It's not something I particularly do, most people also do that since there is a starbucks inside). Maybe sometimes buy a book or drink coffee, other than that I just buy if it is a gift.

 

I hate your typical mall.. they are usually so soulless and ugly. If I ever go shopping, I go into town. Usually I visit Topman & River Island.

 

I go to the mall maybe once a week. I usually spend my money on food or drinks, or if the group's going to watch a movie.

 

Hot Topic is a must. (No, I'm not emo. I just like the fandoms)

I usually try to buy at least one thing, even if I don't need it.

I usually only go to the mall when I'm with friends.

Even then, we only go to a mall every 1 or 2 months. Woodfield is probably the best mall in our area, but it's a 25 minute drive. (Most of us don't have a license yet). The closest mall to us (5 minute drive) sucks, which is why we don't go too often.

 

Whenever I go to the mall I just go to the movie theatre there and the food court. :icon_redf

If I go to a mall it is with specific goals in mind, which is usually to buy a book. Even then it is only like once in a blue moon.

I usually visit Gamestop and Sport Chalet. Most of the time, I just walk around the entire mall, which is why I prefer very large malls, like Westside Pavillion in Los Angeles. Although, I hardly go there. I would love to go to West Edmonton and Mall of America.

I go once a month. Honestly, I have no interest in going most of the time unless I have to go birthday or Christmas shopping.

No.

A few miles.

I usually only go if I need something, so yes.

A bit under an hour of highway driving.

 

I'm one of those people who isn't fond of malls, but likes vibrant downtown/neighborhoods, instead----places where there's new and used bookstores, coffee-houses, vintage clothing stores, music stores, antique stores, little boutiques and galleries, diverse restaurants, clothing stores...basically, a bustling city with character.

The closest mall? Huh, I'm not sure, maybe 10 miles?

I go maybe once a year and go to the Van's outlet, Hot Topic, and then, the Neiman Marcus 'last chance' outlet, to see the stuff I still can't afford, but that's about it. Do I buy something? Maybe.

After about 1 hour, the artificial/homogenized nature of malls gets to me. and I have to escape, or take a sedative, or both...I think I was maybe 16 when this mall-phobia hit me.

Yes, I like going to the mall. I love shopping and I love clothes, so I don't mind going to the mall. I prefer more upscale ones, though. My favorite place to shop is downtown where you can find many of the mall stores I like.

But as far as stores in actual malls, I love going to:
-H&M
-American Eagle
-Urban Outfitters
-Lacoste
-Forever 21 Men
-Nordstrom Rail

The Westfield Connecticut Post is the one I go to most often, but the one in Paramus is pretty good.

I don't go often. When I do go, it's usually with my mom to get groceries, or with my friends to get clothes. I don't like shopping for clothes...

In fact, I pretty much hate every store made specifically for clothing. I just get what I need and get out.

I love going to Wal-Mart just to hang out with friends, Gamestop, and the food court. :lol:

Whatever I need really, is where I'll visit.

I used to like Hot Topic, but the ones around here have grown smaller, in size and selection. It has become the very thing it tried to avoid, mainstream anti-mainstream. Though, every now and then, they have a t-shirt or accessory I like. But it isn't as consistent as it was, years ago.

GameStop is fine, as is a few "urban" stores. I also like some of the local vendors in our malls, who sell some interesting-looking scarves and products.

Other than that, if a place has something I want to look at or purchase, I'm there.

Not that often.

Do you always buy something when you go?
90% of the time, yes, but it may just be something in a food court. I try not to go to the wall, unless it's for something I want/need or, those few times, I'm asked to come.

How far away is the nearest mall from you?
Well, we have a mall in this town, but it's pretty barren. There's a few clothing and beauty product stores, but it aims for the very young (Claire's) or the mediocre adult (JC Penny's). There is a sporting goods store, which is the exception to this, but everything is overpriced and the variety is questionable.

If I cross the border into Tennessee, there is a better mall. But I don't often go there. Still, the selection and variety is nicer, even if things are a tad more expensive.
