Inspired by the holding hands thread.
How far (physically) do you go with friends? Not the friends-with-benefits relationship, I mean with regular friends. Is platonic kissing something that you do, holding hands, hugs?

I hug my friends, both male and female - and we joke around a lot by making sexual gestures.

We play fight too - I'll never be too old for that.

I've kissed some of my female friends but I wouldn't even kiss my male friends on a dare - I don't want to risk doing that and then feelings potentially developing, lol.

Lots of hugs with both my female and male friends (though more with female) and yes, there has been hand-holding (mostly with the female friends) and one time I even fell asleep leaning against my male friend. So we get pretty lovey sometimes. That's just how I usually am. I've kissed female friends on the cheek and they've kissed me, but nothing more than that.

Lots of hugs, though back in highschool I accidently got my first gay kiss by attempting a pretend cheek kiss.

I went in like I was gonna kiss his cheek ( which I had no plans to ) and he friggin turned his head at that moment and the next thing I knew we were kissing...to make matters worse it was right in front of everybody >.<

    I felt so embarrassed. ;_;

I hug friends sometimes. But I'm a mixture of British "don't touch me" and Italian "touchy feely." But, I think I was more exposed to my dad's British side of the family since they live nearby. Seriously, my grandpa on my dad's side always goes in for the handshake when he comes over and me and my brothers go in for a hug lol. We always joke about it. My grandpa on my mom's side when we'd visit would hug us and kiss our cheek. So, I think I've developed somewhere in the middle... I like hugging and such but I won't usually initiate it, at least at first. So, I'll hug friends if there's already some obvious agreement that it's okay and really only on some occasions. Depends on the person too. Usually hug my gay friends (cuz they're always more huggy in general!) but most other friends not really.

Hello and goodbye hugs? Yes with female and male friends. Holding hands? No. That's more a romantic gesture with kids being the exception.

Hugs, hand-holding, shoulder leaning. I've kissed a number of my friends and had sex with two.

No kissing on the lips and no touching the genital area. And I guess that's really all I can think of. Anything else goes, depending on the friend.

I'll hug any of my friends basically regardless of how long I've known them. Hugs aren't such a big deal. I'll kiss anyone for a dare as long as I am not in a relationship.

I used to be really touchy-feely with my old friends, but with my current friends we usually just hug or share the same bed.

I have made out with some of my friends, but that was mostly just to prove a point.

Quick peck on the lips and a hug to say hi or bye. That's about it. I reserve the rest for relationships

Hmm, well hugs. Light cuddling. sexual gestures. and that's all I'll say.

More with girls than guys. I'm quite touchy-feely, but not extremely so.

With both genders: hugs, kisses on the cheek
With guys: Hehe  I slap their butt, wrestle, touch their legs, play footsie, etc.

I guess the conclusion is that I joke-flirt with the guys, but I'm way more uncomfortable around girls.

I've kissed my friends before, generally not with tongue but that definitely has happened (usually when I was really drunk, but I haven't been that drunk since I was like 20...). I don't really have that many physical boundaries, I just don't care enough or place enough importance on it. It's never happened, but I'd probably be okay with just about any amount of kissing and groping.

Ahh. Usually I stick to highfives and punches. Even my best friend of seven years and I have trouble hugging.

It depends of the friend but usually just hugging or kissing on the cheek. I'm not very touchy feely so I don't initiate it but some of my girl friends like to lock arms so I let them, and I held hands with my best guy friend a few times. I wouldn't have a problem with going further if I was attracted enough to any of them tho.

I don't like being touched normally in social situations, it makes me jump ... particularly if I'm not expecting physical contact. I'm very sensitive to it. But it's different if I know it's going to happen. If there's someone I trust as a friend, I will happily hug them, gender has nothing to do with it, I'll hug anybody who's not a jellyfish or sea urchin. When I was younger, I also used to do hand holding with a good boy friend of mine, although people called us gay. I don't kiss my friends. If I did, I don't think I'd feel like the relationship was platonic anymore.
