I have many things in my life that people would kill for. Such as an endless supply of cups of tea, and I don't even have to ask most of the time. Plus I have a strong immune system, and I'm in good physical health.

I was just thinking about how I feel a bit guilty when I see smokers "cough up their guts." I try to keep my perspective realistic when I feel bad about my mental health concerns. And even then it's not usually severe

I have a great family and live in one of the wealthy countries.
That would be the basic thing to be grateful for.

Grateful for my group of friends. And for the area I live in. When I came out at 15 not one person gave me any bother, even all the boys didn't mind and seemed to like me more and were more open to me. But my best friends have proven to be true, genuine friends and their relationship with me I will always cherish, even if I don't see them as often as I should or sometimes take it for granted <3.

Without the help of my mother I couldn't have realized my dreams. She helped me financially and didn't stand in my way. I am thankful for that.

I'm not living in a homeless shelter anyone. That had to be the scariest (or at least one of the most scary) experience I've ever had in my life, even more scary than the time a guy opened fire in a gas station convenience store shorty after I walked out of it. I wondered if I'd even still be alive the next day, and I started pushing myself into the idea of suicide yet again, just so I wouldn't have to worry anyone.

I'm so glad I'm out of that now, and I'm willing to go through hell to make sure it never happens again.

For having a family who has always taken great care of me and provided me with food and a roof over my head. Also for the strong bond in my family and we're there to support each other and love one another.

More than anything, I'm grateful for my husband. We're best friends & have been through a lot together. He keeps me going, even when it's not easy. I try to always give him the same kind of support.

I am grateful that I have a fairly solid basis for my life so far and decent abilities. Because I have this luck, I'm not drowning in a deluge of daily events or material concerns, which means that my few problems feel more distant and less overwhelming.

There is little I fear more than struggling to get myself to the next week, living in a cycle of desperate, hopeless feelings of being lost.
