I'd like to dye my hair at some point (probs while I'm away at school lol) but I don't know what color to do. I also need suggestions for products to use. Photo of me attached for reference. I like the silver white Tyler Oakley did early on, but I don't know if I could pull that off. No matter what, I have to bleach it. Should I get that done professionally or could I do it at home?
Any other advice and suggestions are welcome! Thank you guys

when I was younger I let my hair grow quite long and really didn't like my natural brown color with the longer hair, so I dyed it black myself. it turned out ok, but I usually made a huge mess with the chemicals.

coloring should be ok to do at home, especially if you have someone to help you. never had mine bleached, but that I would suggest you have done professionally.

I was thinking if I got it bleached professionally, I might as well have it colored there too. I'm thinking of more unnatural colors, silver-white is somewhat natural but light blue, purple, etc. I just really don't know how those would look on me..

I played around a little bit with my drawing program and I think the purple may actually suit you pretty well. The purple/pink seems to match your aesthetic. Though, it might look a little different when you actually go to dye it (keep that in mind). I suggest you stay away from the colors green, orange, and yellow.

Here's what I came up with...

That was actually pretty cool haha not sure if that pic was the best for doing what you did but it's a something to go off of
I definitely like the purple a lot so that might be what I go with..we'll see what happens I guess

Soft-selection is your friend XD but yeah that's a cool way to try out new colors.

Purple is an amazing color but it tends to fade a bit quicker.

I like purple, I think cooler colors would work better with your skin tone. (Though that may be a bad pic :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:) Definitely go to a salon your first time. I know of people who have messed up bleaching and have fried their hair, it's not fun.

    Good luck!

I went with a dark black with neon purple tips (and a long thin piece) myself, and I have to say it's never looked better! It looks good and is noticeable, but isn't too bright that it clashes with what I'm wearing.

Of course it's a matter of personal opinion and colour tastes.
I think a nearly white silver/gradient would be neat too, but I have only seen this one in fictional settings, haven't tried the actual dye myself.
