I'm not really sure if I have a definite favorite but one of them has to be Akira. I've seen that movie so many times and I'm always left speechless at the end. Not to mention that the animation in it is very fluid and you can tell that someone worked super hard to make it almost flawless (in my opinion, of course).

These days it's The Matrix. Previously, it has been The Italian Job.

Edit: Yes... I saw the Matrix after I saw The Italian Job .

Titanic is a good choice, but I could never pick a favorite movie. Heck, I probably couldn't even make a top 10 list.

When I was growing up I wasn't allowed to see any movies, either on tv or at the theater, made after the mid 60's, and even then not all of them. (parents are religious fundamentalists) Due to this, I've been doing a lot of catch up the last ten years, and there's a lot I haven't seen yet.

When you say "of all time", that's hard to say. I really liked "What dreams may come" but don't know what category you'd call it. For sci fi it would probably be Star Wars IV, for anime it would probably be Akira. For movies based on real life history, right now it probably be for me "The Spirit of St. Louis" (I'm a licensed pilot) Best Western is really tough, because I watched a lot of them growing up. It'd probably be a toss up between True Grit, "The man who shot Liberty Valance", or Shane, but there's so many good ones.As far as comedy, the main ones that come to mind right now is "Airplane" and "Hot shots" (again, I'm probably prejudiced because I'm a pilot) Best horror film? Maybe Alien.

Definitely a masterpiece. Both the movie and the book!
