The title was a little melodramatic but seriously.....can anyone think of a non-sexual way to meet other gays in Richmond? I've tried a few "gay" bars and got hit on by some older dudes that weren't my type.... any ideas?:help:
They're probably still in the closet. Or there are some that are out, you just haven't found them. When school starts again I would join a GSA to meet other LGBT people
How did you get into bars at 16 lol. I know how you feel, even at 26 it's hard for me to meet guys my age that live within 70 miles
I'm not from Richmond, but I know about a few organizations in the area. Your best bet is to get in touch with ROSMY. They have weekly support groups for people your age (11 - 20). You can also get in touch with Diversity Richmond. They will likely be able to direct you to other groups and organizations if there are any in the area that are suitable for someone your age. Finally, consider attending PRIDE FEST 2015 on September 12. That will give you another opportunity to meet people, and see what is going on in the LGBT Community in Richmond. If you get involved with ROSMY before then, you'll likely be able to go with some folks you meet from there. That way you don't have to attend Pride alone. I hope this helps.
