Are there others in college that are interested in GSA?

What is GSA like at the college level? I want to go next semester.

As an ally of the LGBT+ Community and someone who is going to college in September, I've thought of asking the same question.

We never had anything like that at college but it's such a great idea

They have it here, or had it last semester... but the person facilitating it has left.

Bump. I'm curious too, as I'm moving to a new university soon for grad.

Is the Midwest more tolerant than the South? (FL isn't really southern, but has some of the same old-school pitfalls)

Are flagship unis better than smaller, commuter colleges for tolerance?

My new school seems pretty damn LGBT-friendly. I mean, they had rainbow flags flying from a freaken church! All I see at my current school are those equal sign bumper sticker and faculty ally door signs. Louder, more public statements of the LGBT movement just aren't there.

They have about 4 groups to choose from, including a gay-straight alliance - but it is church based and I'm an atheist, lol........

I have one at my school, and it's the biggest club in the school!

Clubs at our college do events and get funds to do more events. A perfect example is the drag show we do each year that gets more and more popular by the year. We sold out well in advance, this year and raised way more than last year!

There are also small booth things we do every now and then. No matter what you do, it's pretty fun.

We also hold meetings that include news, discussion and support.

So it's like High school GSA but sooooo much cooler
