Hey! So was randomly thinking in the shower about how I used to hate something about myself and now completely love it! Anyone have things they used to hate about themselves but now love and are glad to have? Can be anything!

I felt the same way about my hair. I reasoned that it only looked good when cut very short (i.e. the second it got longer, I'd be ready for another haircut), but I began to try different styles with short hair in late high school and from then on, I no longer had such negative feelings about my hair.

And well, I suppose you could say my homosexuality somewhat fits this bill. It isn't that I hated it, but I certainly saw it as nothing but a detriment ultimately. It was later that I began to take pride in it and see it as an asset.

Sylveon, the newest evolution of the Pokemon eevee. I thought it looked stupid at first, but when I played through the game with it on my team it grew on me, plus it's really strong.

Windows 8. Hated the tiles, but once I got to using it (aka seeing the tile screen as little as possible :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:), it's familiar enough and I love the speed and stability. I hardly have any problems, compared to earlier OSs that always gave me issues.

I used to really hate my teeth. I had a lot of orthodontic work done, and both before and after all the tooth extracting and palette expanding and damn braces, I never liked their appearance.

Although they still look pretty dorky, I really appreciate them now, and don't feel as shy about smiling as I used to.

I used to hate the way my brain works. It got me pulled from religious school for asking too many questions and getting in trouble, made it impossible to fit into groups because everyone looks equally messed up to me, and made school a struggle because half of what people said sounded like gibberish.

Eventually, I just self-taught in the subjects I struggled with and now have more math skills than most people who weren't called mathematically illiterate as children. Being suspicious of the world means I slipped out of a group of friends before they started breaking into each other's houses.

    What Ender said.

My hair used to really annoy me when I was in middle school, but in high school I learned to love it and I still do. It's one of my favorite things about my body. And, yes, it does attract attention.

    Just... yes.

I went through things I hated to see if I'd grown to like them at all... I don't.

Oh. I used to not like that I was a constantly cynical pessimist... I embrace that now.

I used to hate eating mushrooms when I was younger, I'd always give them to my brother. Nowadays, my mum tends to give me her mushrooms whenever she gets them.

Many things and others the opposite way. I am seldom a constant as I constantly challenge things. But I used to hate myself lot I guess and now less so. Can't say I love myself though, so not sure if that qualifies.:bang:
