Hello, my ladies, gents, and adorable cat people!!!. I just wanna put you in a bag and---*creepy laughter followed by coughing* My question is who is your favorite Steven universe character.. pearl is mine.. and I get a lot of crap for liking her also lapiis x pearl is just heaven... But yeah, anyways.. I like pearl because I can relate to her, most of the time. I'd be a fixture of pearl and amethyst, although I am a huge perfectionist I can be extremely laid back and when by myself I'll be super laze bones. Lolz. But, back to pearl again. I like her character because despite people calling her perfect, she always tells them how she's not, I'm pretty self deprecating most of the time, other times boastful, which is another thing I like about pearl. She's not afraid to put her ideas out there, which at first led me to believe she was the leader instead of Garnett.. but let's not kid ourselves. Garnett is the sprayable cheese to our crackes, the ice to our moutain dew XD. What I also like about pearl is how when she's wrong she's wrong, she reluctantly or bashfully admits it blushing an adorable color of blue. She knows when she's wrong and that's I like pearl I guess. Her comments may seem salty but... she doesn't understand humans all that much.. just like how she disgust eating and thinks sleeping is weird. Btw I will add a drawing of pearl in my album. Pearl's my favourite too! She's far from perfect though - she's faulted, like all great characters (and like most of the SU cast). She's been around before humans could call themselves that, so naturally slights them in a million brilliant ways. The best part about her? She hates the idea of eating but loves pie - nothing to do with the taste, she just seems to enjoy the non-tasting sensory experience of pie / the process of pie. And, of course, she's relatable, ironically struggling to give her existence purpose - like humans, who live "short, meaningless lives" - outside of following leader figures and teaching Steven and Connie.

I absolutely agree with you~ What makes Pearl so perfect to me is... that she is so imperfect, yet desperately wants to be just that. I can relate to her in that regard a lot. Sometimes it can be so frustrating though knowing that you'll never achieve true perfection .-. #problemsofaperfectionist xP But I love how, despite everything, she always is loyal toward those she cares about :3
I'm sorry, Pearl. I love you, but Garnet. Just love everything about her/him. Even her/his third eye.
My favourite is Garnet (see: my username), but I agree with you. What I love about Pearl is that her flaws make her even more perfect and relatable every time, plus her character development is amazing! I'm also a mixture between Pearl and Amethyst!
