I'm straight acting usually (well people don't generally realise I'm gay unless I tell them). It's not something I try to do either way, it's just how I am.

oh, I'm str8 acting too, well people at my school always thought taht i was str8, becuase I'm really quiet and my face looks always serious

I like to act str8 tho, cuz they will mock at me and said dumb things wen I walk like a chick

One time I was walking on the hallway and heard 2 guys discussing about me. One was shouting taht he thinks I'm not gay because I'm looking so cold, while the other argues, that makes me feel tired

I am just like you Paul...People would not know unless I told them. It's not like I'm hiding who I am, just always been straight-acting. If they asked though I would tell them or if someone made fun of a gay person I would say to them "would you say that about me, because I happen to be gay?!" It totally disarms them and they get all apologetic.

I had to do that to a co-worker. He is as okay with it as he can be, so we don't talk about it at all.

    I'm JSG acting.
Just myself, maybe *a little* feminine, my friends told me I act straight but with some obvious gay hints, some say I'm twink-ish acting(whatever that means). I don't know or care, I'm just myself.
I may act a little more gay if I were single or with a guy.
My sexuality doesn't define the way I act/am, it's just a part of it.

I am straight acting, except when someone says something nasty against gay/bi people.

Yes - the expression 'straight acting' suggests that you are trying to act straight. That isn't the case for me either, but I would say that I come across as straight

All four people I've come out to were shocked, and three of them I had known really well.

In high school having a guy talk to me about girls was at least a weekly occurrence. These days that happens like once every two months, so I was startled when a female co-worker showed me a CD case and asked, quote, "Would you do her?"

I hate (HATE HATE HATE) the term "straight acting" because really, why would you want to act? And of all things to act, why would you want to act STRAIGHT?:eusa_sick (we need a better barfy smiley)

I am "gay coming across," which is to say pretty much anyone on the ball can tell I'm gay. And that's because I try to act as closely to "myself" as possible and hey, myself is gay, so I come across gay. As in, I do not come across as "butch" or a "real man" (again, barf). I don't think I come across like a stereotypical femmy guy but hey, I'm probably biased. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Anyway, oh well if I do... I'd rather be pegged for gay correctly than mistaken for straight. Saves me from having to turn down all the girls.

Come to think of it, I like femmy boys, as long as they're not hamming it up for effect. One time, there was this hot boy named Brad, who did porn, and yeah he was totally femme and... oh, well I wouldn't want to disturb those of you who don't like the femmy guys.

"Twink-ish acting:" it means you're pretty, you know it, and you act like you know it.

Which is fine if you're as pretty as you think, but highly annoying if you're not. *grin*

Some people never thought I like guys by the way I act while other say they thought I'm gay.

So I guess I act both ways??

To be honest, I don't know. Most people don't quite figure out that I'm gay right off the bat. In fact, I'm sure there are a lot of people that I see every day that don't know that I'm gay. But then again, I don't necessarily keep quiet about it when there's a guy that I think is hot or something.

But if you're referring to the stereotypes, I don't really think I fit most of them.

With people that I see everyday, I don't like to tell them that I'm gay. I like to wait for them to figure it out, or hear from other people. It's kind of fun, and kind of interesting. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Even though I'm somewhat of a tomboy in the sense that i love playing sports and i hate girly things like shopping for clothes/shoes I still dress pretty fem and I suppose i act straight since no one thinks other wise.
