The word seems to come up a lot when there's talk of relationships. "Commitment phobia," "a committed relationship," "I'm not sure I'm ready to commit."

I've never been in a committed relationship, of that I'm pretty sure. But I'm curious: what exactly is a committed relationship?
Is it putting the relationship first among your priorities? Is it having an engagement on the horizon? Is it moving in with someone?

If anyone has anything they'd like to contribute, I'd like to hear from you. What does the word "commitment" mean to you?

To me, it means staying loyal to the person and making it last a long time. A committed relationship means when two people want a future together and plan for it, and the relationship is one of the higher priorities.
Loyalty as in not breaking the rules of the relationship and stuff like that.
