Sorry.
But at least you had the chance to know a great grandfather. I didn't know any great grandparents, and one of my grandfathers died almost 40 years ago when my mom was 17.

Even from your short post, it seems he made a positive impact on your life. I'm happy you got to have him with you as long as you did.

Aw. I'm sorry! I feel for you it's rough.
I remember when my great grandpa was dying he didn't remember me and he was rambling a lot and it scared me to see him like that so I didn't go in the room; I was like 8. I kind of wish I had gone and said a proper goodbye but that's old news.

Great grandpapi's are awesome most of the time; at least you were fortunate enough to know him well and have a good relationship with him! : )

Sorry about your loss George. I hope you can move forward with alot of special memories.

Its funny, we were telling my sons' partner about Great Grandma and her little mannerisms that she had. She had a big belly after having 11 children so she would sit with her hands on her belly and twiddle her thumbs. We got out the home videos and the first one we pulled out had tons of footage of her doing just that. It was like she wanted to be part of our Christmas. I love her and miss her everyday along with my other Grandma who passed away on Christmas day a few years ago.
