I'd love to live in a nudist environment, I find nudism natural and freeing, no "classy" or "poor" clothes, or body shaming, just ppl and the beauty and individuality of the human body. And an understanding that the human body is not inheritly sexual and shouldn't be censored.

    What do you think?

Eh, I don't mind nudity. If people want to be naked, so be it. Though I rather not be a part of that. Pre-op trans people has zero chance to pass being strip naked. And I am also rather fond of cute clothes.

I'm not a nudist myself, but I'm all for nudist colonies. I mean hell, I'd even say legalize public nudity because I agree with you, there's nothing wrong with a naked body and the world, particularly America, is way too uptight about nudity anyways.

I think it's great for people to be comfortable in their own skin.

One problem with public nudism is that today it's easy for someone to whip out their phone, take a pic, and upload an image to the Internet without the person's consent. This may not be much of an issue for an adult who doesn't mind nude pictures of himself/herself out there, but I think it could be a problem with a pedophile taking nude pictures of children.

Also, I'm in favor of legalizing public nudity.

For me I would prefer genitals/buttocks/breasts to be covered in normal social situations, particularly when eating.

I just don't really want to see/think any part or orifice below the neck with the potential to seep bodily fluids out , as natural as that may be.

Plus I don't really see it as hygienic. Unless people are using a bidet and/or douching after every bowel movement surely any bacteria will just spread whenever they sit down. I find that a bit grim really.

BUT if people want to walk, swim, be outdoors in the fresh air naked I say go for it! Let it all hang out! Just put some clothes on if you are coming indoors.

I have heard most nudist resorts abide by the towel system to prevent any issues when sitting. ^

I'm all for it. I'm a part time nudist. It may solve the whole body image crisis.

There are quite a few of them around. And there are a lot more that are "clothing optional." Some are small intentional communities, some are resorts/campgrounds, some remote swimming holes with a few cottages nearby.

The better ones have very clear rules (such as no cameras, including camera phones... or cameras only with permits), and good security that handles anyone there for the wrong reason. At the ones I've been to, people are very respectful, and the vibe is completely nonsexual.

Personally, I prefer the "clothing optional" places over the nudist ones, because some of the nudist types tend to be pretty, uh, radical about how anti-clothes they are, which, in my opinion, is kind of silly. The clothing optional places are just completely judgment free. If you have body image issues, these are amazing places to go, because you very quickly realize that almost nobody has a perfect body, and the number of very imperfect bodies dramatically outnumbers the perfect ones.

I've seen people from 2 to 90+, people who have lost limbs, had mastectomies, have major surgical scars or other body issues... and they're the most open, comfortable, and wonderful people because they've come to just accept and love themselves exactly as they are.

What I will say is that it's one of those things that sounds absolutely terrifying to many people, but once you actually get there... and you see how open and nonjudgmental people are... you find it's really not an issue at all.

I too wouldn't want to visit one, but I'm glad that people enjoy them and that they (probably) help with body image issues.

I'm sure they usually are like that. However, with today's technology, if someone is there to take pictures without people's consent, chances are s/he has already taken and uploaded the photos by the time s/he has been asked to leave. It only takes a few seconds to take a picture and upload it. By then, there's very little you can do to keep that picture from being spread.

... Which is why many of them are in areas where there's no cell coverage, and have no wifi services.

Sure, people can always surreptitiously do stuff like that. I can say, however, that you very rarely see those sorts of pics floating around, you even more rarely see people doing that sort of thing, and if you do see those pics... they really aren't very exciting. A bunch of people hanging around a hot spring or pool or something.

I would visit one, or even live in one if I ever had an opportunity. I think no clothes is a lot more comfortable, but I don't get to be naked very often. I really don't have any body image issues, so I would be totally ok with it.

I personally would not be ok being around it, female nudity makes me really uncomfortable for some reason, I think it is because it reminds me of what I would have been if I lived a lie and it's a huge dysphoria thing for me.

I have actually thought about visiting one for quite some time. Might actually go to one after starting HRT.

Cell coverage and WiFi aren't necessary to take a picture. Unless the phone is confiscated, the images can just be saved on the phone and spread as soon as the person reaches cell coverage area.

My concern is with children, not adults. I'm willing to bet that because such images could be (and are) used a form of legal* child porn**. I don't know wide-spread such images are since I don't go looking for child porn. However, since child porn is usually illegal, I could see these images being in high demand for the wrong reasons with the wrong people. When it comes to adults, people would rather just watch porn stars than seeing the average (or below average) Joe.

Perhaps I'm a little on the paranoid side, but it makes sense to me that being a legal* form of child porn could incentivize creeps to snap pics of nude kids at some of these places. If I were a parent, I'd be too paranoid to want them to be at a nudist colony, even with my close supervision.

*Obviously taking nude pictures without people's consent is illegal (at least in most places), but the content of a nude image of a child does not make it illegal to under the 1st amendment (therefore legal) so long as it passes the Miller test.

**A nude picture isn't necessarily porn, but porn is somewhat in the eye of a beholder. So a parent who takes nude pictures of their child usually isn't guilty of producing of child porn, even though those same images can be viewed as child porn by someone possessing them for the wrong reasons.
