The best thing to do when learning or maintaining a language, is speaking it often and being immersed in it to some extent. Just having conversations here, is practicing your English, in a way. I do recommend finding an online friend on a different website, with whom you can have live voice calls with. That's always more efficient.
The only language that you may communicate in on EC is English, but that's good if you want to practice.
Try to read a lot and write a lot. For me, not being a native English speaker, I spend a lot of time looking at synonyms for words to widen my vocabulary. I've found that to be a really good way of learning new words. What is your native language, if I may ask?
What helped me the most was watching videos in English. You practice your hearing and get used to all the dialects and accents. I'm pretty much bilingual now without ever having had a real face to face conversation with native English speakers (until I got in college, that is). Also, depending on what your first language is, you always have to watch out for pitfalls. Your first language is Spanish or Italian? Never forget your pronouns! In English, if you do, your sentence is not precise enough due to the limited verb conjugation. If it's French, then be careful with the direct translations. Things such as ''I'm agree'', ''I have 8 years old'' or ''It doesn't have sense'' are not correct. Good luck
Tricky I can help with the written side, but the hard bit us oral.as a scouser my pronunciation etc would probably confuse
