I have been talking to this guy i like. I'm not sure if he is gay or not so i am making a gamble. I had a conversation with him on facebook, and it goes like this: (copy and pasted). Well i know him in person and he would grin at me when he sees me. I asked if he was making fun of me and he said no
I can say this: Whenever I saw my crush, I would always grin at him even if we didn't actually talk. Now, this doesn't necessarily mean that he has a crush on you. Although, if he grins at you every time he lays eyes on you, then there definitely is a chance he likes you.
I think i am going to back down because he never initiates a conversation online and he keeps dodging my offers to hang out. I don't want to make a fool out of myself.
He did give me his number but it think i should back off. I don't think hes stupid and if he liked me he would have said it.
Hi there! It is not easy to reveal feelings for others. If he has given you his number, I don't think you would lose anything by trying to hang out with him, and start to get to know him a bit more. Getting to know him, will give you some insights into your own feelings for him, but also how he feels about you.

Hi there! It's pretty hard to say what it means. You want to be careful not to read too much into it either at this point. Why not just text him and ask if he would like to get together and hang out?
I don't see how he likes or is interested in you from reading those messages. Ask him again if he wants to hang out just do something like going to the mall and grabbing lunch. If he avoids it or backs out then i would just leave him alone.
Sounds like a straight guy conversation to me. I know plenty of straight guys at work who would talk exactly like that. Granted, I don't know if they're closeted, but either way, it just sounds like friendly talk, in my opinion. Reading any deeper into that says more about your feelings than his. (*hug*)
