    Has anyone else noticed how quiet it's been here lately? I'm not entirely sure why, but it might have something to do with school starting up again. I'm just a bit lonely.

    People are going to school in mid-August? Sucks for them.

    Yeah, my school was actually supposed to start next Monday but it got pushed forward so now I don't have to start till August 24th. But I know some people on the site who've started earlier. It sucks.

    I'm sorry you're feeling lonely, I suppose there are always going to be dips and spikes in activity on the website - you might be right about school starting up again!

    Weirdly, I was just thinking that things have been busier than ever for the staff. So there must be a few users still around! :icon_bigg

    Yep in fact most people had to start school today where I live. Thank god I'm homeschooled. I woke up at 9 and then went to work instead of schooling.

    That seems so strange to me - sending kids to school in what is often the hottest month of the year. Oh well.

    My school system got a new schedule 2 years ago where summer break starts later and ends early, for 2-week fall and spring breaks. School started AUGEST 3RD!!!! XD

    Meh, the site always seems to go through times where it doesn't seem as busy as other times. You get used to that cycle a lot after being here two and a half years like I have. After joining staff about a year ago though, I must say, I probably have a different definition of "quiet" on here than most people. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    Forums do seem to have a tendency to have lulls at times. I've seen a few forums go completely silent. I didn't realize schools are starting up already, wow. Ours never start before Labor Day.

    Lot of colleges are close to starting up their fall terms as well. So you've got a lot of the college students either already attending class or getting ready to do so.

    I know. One day I was up until something like two waiting for somebody to do something on F&G. It never came so I went to sleep. I always feel really guilty for posting to much when the about 3 quarters of the first page of threads says my handle next to them.

    So about this going to school in august thing... What the hell? I start school again in early september, not august! What the hell is wrong with your schools people?
    Then again this might just be because I'm English and alot of you are American...

    Well, for what it's worth, the activity logs aren't suggesting the site is undergoing any sort of lull. The site has been average between 1200-1600 new posts per day, and we're still consistently hitting that target now. We're also averaging about 800 unique logins per day too, which is a slight increase on what we've been having.

    The site may seem slower, but it's still trudging along at a consistent pace. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
