Oh yes, I am the most fashionable person in my family. Like my mother doesn't understand what colours go with what, in fact she blames the internet for making me colour co-ordinate my clothes.

Like a faded sort of dark green does not go well with Black or dark blue jeans, I would say a lighter green is best to get as it goes better with black, for example: A light green polo shirt combined with a black chino jeans is better than a Dark Green T-shirt with the set of black jeans.

I am the only one who actually cares about colour and what goes with what and my family pretty much yell at me for spending my money on clothes because looking through my wardrobe I have only a few shirts that go well with my jeans, most notably shirts I selected and bought. And I also have different styles for winter and summer, which means different shirts and colours, like I'm saving money for a little spending spree in spring as spring is usually when colours like your yellows and pinks and purples and light greens come out.

And yes my parents are way smarter with money than I am, I'm the type of boy who loves shopping and will spend sometimes randomly on a whim buy clothes because he wants some new and prettier clothes for himself, not for a reason like a party or a business meeting but for the fact that he doesn't like his current wardrobe much, excepting the clothes I bought for myself, but for my pair of white jeans I dislike that they are size 30 instead of size 28 as for me 28 is the better size.

I also fit in XXS clothes (not surprising at all considering I'm fairly short and skinny for a male), I understand the concern of my parents, but one thing I don't get from them is fashion sense, my mum says she can dress others, I do not think so woman, you can't dress anyone very well, I'm more like the one who can dress other people in the family, like I even offered to help my brother be more fashionable by going out shopping with him and giving him tips on what he should actually buy to look better.

Yes, I was going to give my brother tips on how to dress, but you know what they all said, "No you aren't coming cause you spend too much on clothes." So they don't even appreciate me trying to help them by giving them fashion advice. I honestly think maybe in all this I might actually be the most feminine person in my family.

So anyone else have a Passion for Fashion like I do. Even my music expresses this somewhat, my favourite songs by women are always about fashion. Fashion Rules by Chicks on Speed, Harajuku Girls by Gwen Stefani.

When I think about it as well when I was younger I even had a bit of passion for fashion especially when I thought about myself, like when I used to shop, I always wanted to get out of the shop because it was Kmart or Target where we used to buy clothes, and in those shops, here is what the clothes are, (plain coloured, no patterns, no shades, there were logos and sometimes big print, but for most of the clothes, they were boring and plain).

Sorry about the length of this thread, but I am passionate about fashion and I'm also willing to try new styles and see how I look with these styles, most notably what I'm looking for is being able to use nail polish and even makeup to make myself look even better, but my parents are against men using feminine products like nail polish and makeup despite me using a feminine body lotion and feminine products in the shower.

I am colorblind, so it is hard for me to be fashionable. Though I do try to be more stylish.

I love Fashion, I devote a great deal of time and effort to it. I change my clothes in tune with the season collections S/S, Cruise, Pre-fall, F/W. I think I mentioned somewhere that F/W is the season that makes me "think a lot". I'm not a fan of neutrals which abound in F/W season so what I do is to mix in pieces from shall we say S/S such as a floral shirt with layerings from F/W.

I come from a small country here in MO, USA where people tend to dress conservatively and in pastels or neutrals. I tend to get a complements on how I dress and get some freebies in some stores from nice staff like Teavana :smilewave

I have a system as to how I get to wear my clothes, shoes, etc because I tend to buy a lot. New buys remain in paper-bags. They then move on to the next step wherein I sort them out. Tops like shirts, t-shirts also Pants get sorted into whether they'll go in for Alteration or will be washed to be stored. Then I'll sort out the big ticket items from the mid/fast fashion and store them accordingly. I leave out my new shoes because if I store them I forget about them, and will never get to wear them. I buy a lot of bags too. Small bags to fit my iPhone6+, Wallet, Mints, Hanky because I have a lot of slim pants and shorts that don't have pockets. And also full pockets don't look sexy.

The only really difficult thing with me is having to have my clothes altered. I'm disproportionate I'm tall, long legs, broad shoulders but have a slim-sh body. It's a good combination to showcase clothes but you have to have 70% of your clothes altered around the body, narrower chest and waistline.

I am fortunate enough to be able to travel quite a number of times a year to other countries and this has really informed and influenced my taste. I am exposed to brands otherwise would have been never heard of to others. Downside? well I tend to get a lot of over baggage when I travel. To start with I already bring tons of clothes and shoes with me going to a country (you can never tell what you will need to wear), then I buy some more and end up having the need to sit on my luggage just to be able to close it. But you've got to love the tax free shopping of Hong Kong. :icon_bigg

I have a flare for the unusual. I love Guiseppe Zanotti, Fendi Monster, Iconic Prints by Givenchy. When I'm in the mood for something more "rugged" I love the leather by Balenciaga.

On a side note. I'm a metrosexual. My family is a pretty conservative hardliner Christian and of course a tad bit homophobic. I was raised to also dress conservatively like the rest of them but a lot of things happened and basically my parents accepted I am who I am. Whenever I'm sorting through things I buy my dad will often times come in and just say "Remember to wear them." whereas before I would have been guillotined.

Some of my earliest memories involve telling my parents that I wanted to dress differently. I think it was around that time I cooked a barbie in the microwave

I don't really know anything about season styles... I usually just wear what I want to wear. Of course, I don't want to stick out like a sore thumb. I think my personality gives off enough weirdness.

Your mother seems to blame the internet for a lot of things

I totally understand what you're saying about some shops and boring clothing selections. It doesn't help that I wear boys age 13/14 clothing and mens XS or S, so yeah, I buy almost all my clothes online.

And no need to feel sorry about the length of your post. It makes me feel better about the dash of dramatic in my personality. Sometimes it's a piece of myself that I find difficult to accept.

    I like Yohji Yamamoto.
I like fashion, and I like classically fashionable clothes, but I rarely feel like really making an effort.

Men's clothing is boring. I wear a mix of women's and men's and mostly second-hand stuff.

I like fashion as well. I usually prefer shopping vintage because modern fashion is too boring and casual for me. I'm also learning to sew, so I can design and alter my own clothes. I just don't like dealing with the sewing crowd. They're too grumpy and boring.

Ah, we're much of the same mind! I also love vintage, going to second hand stores, and even picking up stuff people have thrown out, especially around the art college; amazing what people just get rid of.

I also wanna learn to sew...I have tried, but got a bit frustrated...maybe I'll look at classes, on the weekends, as this would both save $, give me a lot more creativity, plus I could do my own repairs and alterations.

My mom once recommended that I change because plaid and strips clash....and that pretty much sums it up.

    I have no fashion in me what so ever, but sometimes, like to day, I get lucky and not just go get a pear of jeans, and a old T-shirt. ^-^;

I love fashion, but not "mainstream" modern fashion.

I would feel miserable if I had to dress unlike myself.

I love alternative fashion. I also like looking at haute couture, it is amazing the artistic skills those designers and seamstresses have.

I also really love accessories, both making and wearing them! Jewellery, headdresses, adornments... I love it all! I especially take influence from the traditional accessories of Asian, Egyptian and Eastern European cultures.

I used to make most if not all of my own clothes, been trying to get back into making things recently. Customized a swimsuit that came out nicely.

I buy age 13/14 leggings (boys or girls) from asda occasionally, because they do stuff like this sometimes. Seriously it's A SAFARI ON MY LEGS how could I resist?! Plus, it looks sort of like the zebra is being rude turning it's backside to the camera. Whether the marketing department realised that beforehand or not I don't know  .

So I don't have a fashion sense, sadly but I wish I did. My mom said I should get a nice jacket because all have is hoodies. I did find a very nice button down jacket... And it's GREEN (favorite colour).

Unfortunately, my awkwardness made me feel that it was too fancy to wear and I began mentally scrolling through scenarios where I could where it. I asked the sales clerk who was helping me with the fitting if I could get away wearing it to class and she just laughed and said why not. It just seem so fancy to wear frivolously.

I'm so not use to fashion.

That's awesome lol. If I worked for that marketing department, I might be tempted to pretend I never saw anything . I've been told I dress like a 10 year old kid. Maybe it's the red camo trousers or the dragon graphics on my clothes, I don't know. I don't mind though because all the red kind of helps to hide the blood from people I've murdered for saying things like that. I really just make their eyes bleed!

God I could care less what I wore as male, but if I'm not wearing something mid range name brand, on my body and feet I'd die.

And I prefer sleek and understated. Simple dresses, flats, boots shirts etc. No big ruffles or rhinestones or zippers/buckles. Nope.

Accessories sure, but simplicity and timelessness please.
