I want to start wearing clothes that lean more towards the masculine, or at least neutral, side. Like sports jerseys. Not necessarily ones with a number on the back, but brand name jerseys like Adidas for example. Or supporters jerseys of my favourite sports teams, etc. I just like the way they look and the "casual feel" they give. I currently have just one and I love it. I'd wear it everyday if I could  Will I look too butch with these types of shirts? The shirts I have now are too girly to my liking. Sure, I have days where I feel good wearing them but I'd like an even more casual look. Besides, I don't like shirts that possibly show my cleavage. I feel very uncomfortable, especially since the majority of my co-workers are male. I don't want to come off as butch but I also don't want to come off as girly. I just want to be comfortable with what I wear and give off a more neutral/relaxed vibe. I don't know, maybe I'm crazy for wanting this

I'm talking about shirts like these:

    Example 1

    Example 2

    My favourite rugby team

I currently have one similar to these - Mine just has a round collar instead of V-neck.

I think you'll look fine with those, they are perfectly fine shirts to wear in public.

Well, I mean, you should wear whatever you want to wear. You shouldn't care about what others think, y'know? You do you. And if you don't feel comfortable in certain clothes, don't wear them.

I don't think there's anything wrong with wearing those. If anything, people will think you're athletic. It doesn't make you seem masculine.

Yeah I'm sorta the same when it comes to clothes - I've always been very tomboyish XD. I reckon you should go for it. Whatever you feel comfortable in.

Same thing I was thinking of. I see plenty of straight girls wearing shirts like that. Some of them aren't even that tomboyish. They just seem to enjoy sports.

as for me I can not imagine me in such a garment particularly because of the brand name.
    "Who's wearin' brand name "Adidas"
    In fact is average paederast"
    It's a baby verselet, don't take it seriously:slight_smile:

I say go for it. Im a bisexual man, and i live in the south in the US, not easy thing to do being bisexual by the way, but i enjoy dressing a little on the feminine side sometimes and i love it. Make me feel comfortable, and that's all that matters. If it makes you happy and doesn't hurt anyone, GO FOR IT

I love to wear soccer jerseys, but only ones from small, local or high-school teams, which I buy in thrift stores, and are not emblazoned with brand names. I find them colorful, and like the way the material feels...I have a thing for synthetics! Plus, I'm small, so they seem to fit nice, and I love the lightweight aspect.

I have a few Baltimore Oriole's T-shirts, to show my Baltimore Pride, my favorite one being #13, Manny Machado, who does not hurt to look at and has a very elegant batting style, almost like he's dancing. Plus, they're bright orange, and I love bright colors.

So you could say I dress in a masculine yet boyish way.

I don't have a problem with others wearing them.

But me, I often avoid them. Most are way too expensive. If I absolutely have to buy one, it will be on clearance. Then again, I only own two sports jerseys:

A Harlem Globetrotters and San Jose Sharks. The first because, come on, it's the Globetrotters, and the second one because, well, I find the idea of a shark on ice amusing, and the color scheme is pretty wicked.

I think the most I paid for one is maybe $5, tops, but never bought one new.

Oh, I also love vintage BMX jerseys, though these are hard to find, especially the mesh ones...amd I have a few Husqvarna motorcyle jerseys I really love, from the 80s. Maybe I did pay something like $20 for one on E-bay, in a momnet of weakness...but I tend not to spend too much on clothes, overall.

A T-shirt is for support. A jersey is cosplay :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I have several female friends that wear this kind of jersey sometimes. They definetely don't come off as butch.
    I say go for it.

You can never look too butch! Just wear what makes you comfortable:slight_smile:
I'm a bit tomboyish myself. Sometimes I wear sports shirts like that with skinny jeans, although to be more formal (not really formal, but less bummy I guess) I'd like to get some short sleeve button-downs and wear them with skinny jeans and roll the sleeves up like this:

Lately, I've also really been getting into muscle tees:

They can look more guyish depending on the style and what you wear them with, but they also look awesome with leather jackets for when you want to dress it up a bit. They sell a lot at stores like Zumiez and Vans. You can also just make them by cutting up mens' shirts.

I know you asked for advice on the jerseys but I hope sharing my tomboyish style with you helps too:slight_smile: But anyway just dress how you feel, not for anybody else. If you hold back on your style because of who you're around you're always going to be thinking about that and wish you'd gone with what you actually want to wear.

Also, you can never go wrong with a flannel shirt:slight_smile:

Those will be fine! I wear jerseys and big shirts all the time (as in, I wear "girly" shirts like once or twice a month) and I don't even consider myself butch.
