Other people say that I have resting sad face (like resting bitch face but sad instead). Often when I am tired, people ask, "Are you okay?" or "Are you sad? Are you sure?" I am always saying that I'm fine. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me? :icon_sad:

I have a similar problem. My resting face always looks like I am smiling, even when I'm tired or had a bad day. Its terrible. At least its better then looking mad all the time.

Oh my god, all the time! I don't know what it is about my resting face, but the number of times I've had people ask me what's wrong when I've just been casually sitting about thinking or daydreaming is absurd. I wish I could see my resting face from the outside to understand why everyone gets so concerned!

I get that all the time. Although I wonder if it is my depression showing.

Girls have resting bitch faces and guys have resting douche bag faces, it's funny cause people say I look like an asshole when I'm really not I know I'm a nice person but where I live, nice is rare so I hardly smile but anywhere else I visit in the cities I tend to be more chipper.

I usually have a very neutral expression, so sometimes people think I'm emotionless, unless I talk.

People tend to ask me what I'm thinking about, if I am silent. Take that for what you will.

How you feel can often times show up on your face, even if you are trying to hide something. The stress alone can be quite visible. I tend to have a very focused or piercing gaze, which is why I am asked what I'm thinking.

I guess my resting face would be one of indifference. I chalk it up to my broken sense of "give a damn".

People tend to think I am upset or angry, if I'm not full on laughing. I wish I could see the "look" they're talking about, because I'm usually in a pretty good mood.

    I have resting sad face.
Like OP, it's often when I'm tired that people tend to ask if I'm okay, but in general, I tend to look sad or tired when my face is resting. I think it's because the corners of my mouth point downwards.

Which is strange, because I'm usually in a good mood.

I suppose I have a resting sadbitch face. Either people ask me if I'm alright. Or my sister asks why I'm angry. Weird.

I've been told that my resting face makes me look suspicious, because my eyes dart about a lot and I look shifty.

Haha, yes! I have a serious/frowning resting face so people are generally unsure if they should approach me or whatnot because I look intimidating or preoccupied. This made me it kind of hard at work because I worked in customer service and I had co-workers who would always comment saying, "Hey, smile." or "You alright?"

I just find it incredibly strange to smile all the time and I definitely avoid people who do. It freaks me the hell out.

Lol that's literally my life. I have a mix or resting sad face & resting bitch face :dead:
I don't understand why I'm supposed to be smiling all the time though? I mean, I can't be just staring off into space without someone asking me what's wrong or if I'm sad/angry/annoyed, telling me I need to smile more often, etc. This has been a recurrent problem ever since I was a little kid. It gets on my nerves so much, especially when I'm not even in a bad mood.

I relate to this so much. :eusa_clap I zone out a lot and mostly just to reflect on current events, etc and another person automatically assumes something's wrong - like, back the hell up. Can't I be alone with my thoughts for a second?

Yes I have this too. I can just be sitting there and people will ask me why I'm sad. It can get a little annoying but oh well.
On the other hand I also sometimes have resting happy face. When this happens no matter how I'm feeling, I'll look like I'm smiling. It's actually kinda weird.

Whenever I'm daydreaming though, my face will reflect however the characters in my daydream are feeling. So I'll be sitting in class and my face will just be doing all kimds of things on it's own.

Resting face uh? Well, at any given time when I'm not emoting I'll look partly bored and partly annoyed, which makes people think I think everything is beneath me. I don't even correct them, it's funny to see strangers and people who don't know me very well walking on eggshells around me for no discernible reason.

I'm pretty sure I have resting anger face. It's my big eyebrows :frowning2: looks like I'm frowning all the time! I'm hardly ever angry!

I know right? Not to mention that it disturbs my thinking process AND actually puts me in a bad mood even if I wasn't before -_-
