I'm sorry if this isn't clear, I don't know how to describe it, but does this ever happen to you..
you know when you're not quite trying to fall asleep yet, but you're in bed and you've got your eyes closed, naturally, and you're trying to imagine something, doesn't matter what, but you can't control your thoughts? : the people and shapes grow and shrink and change and you can't control it? its really vague, but I always have to open m eyes because I really don't like it


does that ever happen to you?

Yeah. My mind just does whatever it wants at night. I kinda enjoy it.

Some Days i have dreams and like i try to control them and the same moment replays like 20 times cause i'm trying to change it, but it just won't change. its annoying.

haha, well I deffinetly don't enjoy it :P

and my mind studders too, not in dreams but if I'm trying to think a sentence, sometimes, my mind wont let me finish and I end up repeating the word a few times

well...i haven't had that....but when you're trying to fall asleep, have you ever had the random sensation that you're falling, and then your whole body jerks?

That used to happen to me all the time. I hated it, and it always freaked me out. I don't know what I did to stop it, but it's been a long time since I had it happen.

I know what you mean. I have these strange feelings when I wake up or go to bed... I suddenly start rambling in my mind about some question or debate. It could be over the smallest thing. I'll start rationalizing certin scenarios or start getting really philisophical over the smallest things. It's very strange >_>

Usually when I lie awake in bed though, I can't stop thinking about things like music, fantasy stuff, etc. The mind doesn't want to calm down.

I have that sometimes too. Totally hate it. It's kind of like when you're on the fence between sleep and consciousness, and your body chooses one or the other. Well, if it chooses to wake up, that's when the sudden body jerk comes into place and the heart starts racing. It's NOT fun.

I don't think I've had exactly what you're saying, but sometimes I close my eyes and get random patterns... Almost like someone's running a fractal program through my head. And sometimes I know daydreaming is the best way to fall asleep, so I finally manage to start daydreaming, which reminds me of trying to get to sleep, which brings me back to full consciousness. Not very helpful.

Ooo I hate that... One time I was asleep in the back of a car, I did that and flailed my arms enough to knock over an empty drink.

For me, that happens so often, it's so annoying! Every time I feel like that, it's the same, I am always at the top stair, but take the step of two so my leg goes further than I thought it would and I wake up.

What I do like is when you are almost asleep and it feels like you are either on a (gently) rocking boat or just floating on the air and the air currants bring you up, down, sideways, whatever. It's so cool.

That happens to me every time I try to fall asleep in class, only it's a bit more embarrassing when you start flailing around in class versus your bed.

That's about the most annoying feeling in the world. Also, I tend to get the sensation that I'm spinning, usually when I'm lying on my back.

My mind is always wondering off somewhere, not allowing me to concentrate on simple tasks or sleep at night. Its like there's always a movie playing up there and there is no pause button.

That happens when I am trying to fall asleep. I'll have dreams while I'm half-conscious and wake up after about ten seconds. It's annoying because I sometimes have trouble falling asleep, and I wake up and say, "Dammit! I was so close!"

All the time. When I was younger, I used to have the sensation that I was spinning, but the falls replaced that sensation. I actually kind of like it for some reason.

OMFG I know exactly what you mean! There are very few things in this word more anoying than when you are trying to fall asleep and your mind won't STFU.

Actually, come to think of it, that has happened to me! I actually kinda like it because, if memory serves, the random thoughts tend to be of the vaguely fun variety. It's like I start dreaming before I fall asleep, I guess.
