America has just gotten worse since he was elected, I think. He is a bad leader and not so bright. Seeing this makes me sick, especially the losses in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Without context the numbers are kind of meaningless to me. I would prefer to see a year over year change.

True, those are only the deaths/jobs lost/etc in 2008. If I can find the 2001-2007 stats, I'll gladly post them.

as much as i hate bush and think he's stupid,
part of me feels bad for him...
he got all the bad things during his presidency...from 9/11 to
katrina to economic disaster...etc
he was incapable leader, yes, but he was equally unlucky in my opinion.

True, he has gotten a lot of shit handed to him, but an even half-competent person could handle such extreme situations with the right leadership.

Thank God it is almost over with. I can't wait.

As someone just said, 19 more days...And then we can get this country back on track. We wont have the same power and footing in the world as we used to though, which is sad.

I'm not a politically-savvy person, so I don't know if I can really say Bush has been a bad president. Starting the War in Iraq was a very impulsive decision IMO and I wished he'd thought things through before sending our loved ones out there. I just think that Bush should have stopped butting his nose where it shouldn't have been and concerned himself with his own country's needs instead of others. In a way, I guess he couldn't since America has so many ties with a lot of countries. He has dealt with A LOT of problems during his two terms, but I'm not too certain if he dealt with them properly.

I don't know, the world of politics is so confusing. I just hope that Obama can set America back on Success Lane instead of Economic Dead End that we may be heading into.

LOL Well, Australia's too hot and Canada's too cold. Maybe the UK? Nah, too dreary. Maybe we can go somewhere in Canada where it's not freezing? (Why am I making plans to go somewhere with a guy over the Internet that I don't even know?)

Back on-topic, I may just say au revoir to America and head north of the border to Canada if our economy isn't right when I graduate college.

lol good question, but you could always get to know me lol jk, and yeah, back on topic, I think people are way to hard on everyone. we should all just shut the fuck up and let the gov't do its job. we're all fucked anyway, hence why I'm leaving for Australia once college is done

EDIT: like im just saying... so much hate makes me sad. Bush did really get fucked over, and yeah, i'll admit he wasn't too competent, but i don't know. it takes a lot of damn work to keep a country together and safe. He's got the hardest fuckin job in the world. I think we should at least be appreciative, he hasn't ONLY done bad things. I don't know. it just makes me feel like no one has faith in people anymore

He really is a very incompitent president, but if you see the movie W, you kind of feel bad for him.

At least he'll be out soon. There's some sort of falacy in the mind of us Americans that makes us think that common people make better leaders. I think we finally learned our lesson... hopefully...
