I'm curious - does your chosen name contain the same number of syllables as your given name? All my past/present names or pseudonyms do (bar one) - Socket, Leon, Mia - all of them two-syllable like my given name. Most people I know who have changed their name or use an online pseudonym seem to follow the same trend. So, now I'm interested to find out whether this is just a strange co-incidence among my friend group, or if this is a wider trend!
No, I have a couple I use for different reasons and they have different amounts of syllables in them.
My chosen name has two syllables, because one of the things I hate about my given name is that it has one syllable, which I don't like.
Both have 3, but that's more a coincidence than anything. Though, I admit I wanted a longer name, so that helps a bit.
You know I never noticed that. I have a 'pen name' of sorts I use online including on facebook and the like to protect my privacy. And it's just a different spelling of my first name, but the surnames I both was given and have chosen are 3 syllables. Then there's just "CHAOTIC" which I've used online for upwards of 4 years now, which is also 3.
No, which is weird to think about. But, they do both start with the same letter, which I did on purpose.
My birthname at it's full length was two syllables, but could be shortened to one. The name I go by now is just one syllable, however they do start with the same letter.
My given name and my chosen name are the same number of syllables. I tend to go by Brad though, instead of Bradley, so that makes it a different number of syllables.
Nope! In fact my chosen names both have one more sylible than my given name, and my various online handles range from 1 to 5 sylibles!
My birth name is two syllables. And so is 'Justine' and 'Kaiser'. I've considered changing my first and last name to Justine and Kaiser, respectively, because I like the sound of it. Then I realize, Justine Kaiser sounds like a damn stage name...
