It's pretty obvious that bisexual girls get fetishized. I'm wondering if they get fetishized less when they're butch.
I'd definitely say butch women are generally less fetishised by straight guys, be they bi or exclusively gay. The average straight guy, in my experience at least, tends not to find female masculinities attractive - the Straight Guy's Bi/Lesbian Fantasy almost always features two traditionally feminine women. (I mean, a glance at 'lesbian' porn marketed towards straight guys is all you need to see the trend. Not a butch girl in sight.) It makes me feel quite relieved that I've never really been straight guys' type. But also...poor femmes. Nobody should have to put up with that leery nonsense.
No way. It's usually the pretty and feminine bisexual/lesbian girls who are sexualized. I don't think many guys would watch butch lesbian porn.
Not as much, but I do think it's still present. Growing up my partners were pretty butch whereas I'm very femme. Guys at parties still would ask us to make out and other pervy things despite how butch my partner was. We just rolled our eyes and told them where they could shove it.
Not typically but there's plenty of straight/bisexual guys who like butch women. So put it this way. Might not be the stereotypical male gaze but everyone's different.
Most likely, since men like all types of women...butch/femme/hetero/bi/gay/black/white...- even getting attracted to 100% lesbians even if their chances then are zero. It's attraction, not 'logic'.
Shane of The L Word did something like this, even though folks will debate where she falls on the feminine-to-masculine spectrum. Though that was more or less for women, which is kind of interesting to think about...
I do believe bisexual butch women get fetishized way less than feminine ones. Like people said, porn that are aimed mostly at the male population almost only show feminine 'lesbians' in their video and I know that as a femme, people constantly hope or ask (! >.<) for a threesome or other perversions. I don't know how life is for a butch girl but I know that I sometime wish I was a butch as constantly being asked for ''proof'' of my sexuality by males (as if I only was putting on a show for them) gets on my nerve after a while. :tantrum: Any way I could stop being attracted to those jerks and turn into a full-on lesbian ? :rolle:
Some folk seem to want to treat them as a sort of "replacement" for a man, but not fetishized to the same extent as femmes. Sort of how bear type guys are a niche market, I guess.
Maybe from the perspective of the cis male. Maybe not from the perspective of bi or lesbian females. I've only been with really girly women, though my current gf has a bit of androgyny edge to her look that I find really hot... So maybe it's just because I've never been with a really butch woman I tend to think about them and their brand of hotness. If I've only been with butch women I would probably fantasize about the femmes.
