    OK, suppose you'd been going out for a while, and decided you really loved this odd, nocturnal person you met, who always seems to work the midnight shift.

    You're deeply, madly in love with them, and discover they're a vampire.

    Do you let them bite you, turning you into a vampire? Drive a stake though their heart the next day? Surround yourself with Holy Water, Crosses and Garlic?

    I voted Beg them not to bite, but keep dating.

    If we end up actually getting married and consider each other soul mates, that's another story. Then I would go with "Let them bite you, turning you into a vampire". I'm not about to go vampire for some random person though. :icon_wink

    Given that I'd have such huge troubles dating a HIV+ guy (even well controlled), I think a vampire is completely out of the running.

    Not sure how I'd ever get into a position of dating a vampire, though, given how heavily I use garlic in cooking. :lol:

    As an adolescent, I had a dream that a male vampire bit me... and I liked it :icon_redf It was one of the many clues in my life that led me to accept my sexuality.

    The last time my BF was overseas, he told me that all the flying he was doing was at night, and would be in his bunk by dawn. He joked that he felt like a vampire. A couple of nights later, I had this weird dream that he came home wearing a black cape, and had fangs and pale skin. He said they just grew in while I was there. I then offered to make him a drink, and he asked for a bloody mary. :lol:

    In most lore, both popular and original, you don't get turned, just from being bitten.
    I'd let them bite me, even feed on me. Turn me not so much. I'd hate lose the daylight and am not sure I'd want to live forever, especially when contigent on drinking blood.
