Are you closer to your moms side or your dads side of the family

Definitely my mom's side of the family. My dad's family is full of whack jobs.

 

I'm only close to my grammy on my dad's side. But other than that, I'm more close-ish to my mom's side. I don't see most of my relatives regularly anyway though.

 

By default, I'm closer to my mom's side of the family, because I've never met my dad's side of the family. I've only heard stories about how messed-up some of his family was.

 

Both equally. There are nuts on both sides of the family, but some great people too.

 

Both my parents came from dysfunctional families so I'm not very involved with either of them. My dad's family lives closer but I avoid them as much as I can. The only relative I like is my dad's oldest sister.

 

My dads side. But that being said I'm not close with any of them, but they create a lot less drama than my moms side :lol:

 

I get to see all four of my grandparents pretty often (it helps that both sets live about two miles from each other) but overall I'm closer with my mom's side of the family. There are bunch of cousins, uncles, and aunts on my dad's side that I've only met once or twice or go several years without seeing.

 

Neither. I am close with my husbands family.

 

DEFINITELY my mom's side. My dad's side is full of bible thumpers and idiots and 90% of them aren't even technically related to me. (My dad's mom died when he was like seven and my papaw remarried) Once I start living on my own, I will likely have little to no contact with my dad's side of the family.

I love my mom's side of the family. My two directly related cousins are my bros and my best friends. I love them all so much!

 

Thanks. This way, I didn't need to write anything. Lots and lots of unnecessary drama on my mom's side.

 

I'd probably say neither since my mom's side is highly religious and 'bland' and my dad's side is more rough and welshy. However I do really like my Uncle and his family very much (mother's side).

 

Neither, my situation is unique.

I came to America at a young age with only my immediate family.

All my relatives from my mom's side and dad's side are in still in the country I left.

I left at such a young age, I never got to know any of them personally.

 

I have to say I'm closer to my mom's dad's side of the family. especially my Aunt, and step-grandmother. I don't particularly care for my mom's biological mother's side of the family cause most of them are selfish nut-jobs.

I don't have much to do with my dad's side of the family since they tend to forget me and my brothers exist. I like them despite them being old black, southern, holier then thou Christians but their in another state and we rarely communicate. I do miss my Grandmother and my Great-Grandfather who's last name I will take when I change my name.

Neither. Don't see hardly any of them enough to have formed a halfway decent bond with them.

 

I think its tough to say. im closer to my grandparents on my dad's side but im also really close with an aunt and cousin on my moms side.

 

My mums side becase I have never met anybody from my dads side, but I'm closer to my dad than my mum.

 

I guess both, but more on my mom's side since I live closer to them. Especially as a child, my grandma on my mom's side was like a second mother to me.
