I'm visiting some colleges there on spring break, and although I'm driving down with a friend from school, I think I want to go discover some of the city by myself. Anyone from around there who can suggest a fun, safe place to visit, even just a park or a bookstore? thankees :]
Hi there. I have family who lives in Chicago and I have been there many times to visit them. There are several places I would recommend you see while you're there. Visit the new Millennium Park, The Sears Tower, John Hancock Tower, Water Tower, Michigan Avenue is great for shopping and I love it down there. If you're into museums they have the Museum of Natural History and also the Shedd Aquarium which has the most aquatic animals I've ever seen. Hope this helps you some. Enjoy your trip.
I've lived in the suburbs my whole life and i never get tired of just being in the city, just walking around is just amazing and so beautiful. If you visit Depaul University, might want to take a trip to Boystown, the chicago lgbt hood hehe
DePaul rocks my socks. <3 Make sure to visit Millennium Park, especially the gigantic metallic bean. I got there at least every other weekend 'cause it's so much fun. :3
Oh my gosh, the gigantic metallic bean is the shit. The Navy Pier is pretty cool too, if memory serves.
the art institute in chicago is really famous-if ur into arts, or like art, u should def go there. sears tower-ive been there before- i think its the tallest building in US right now (im not completely sure tho)
