I'm not sure if Chit Chat is where this belongs but I really wanted to tell people this! It's Channel Islands Pride tomorrow - the first ever! (!) Stuck between the UK and France, both of which have legalised same sex marriage, the Channel Islands remain an area where there is acceptance but no recognition or policy changes that reflect this. I haven't come across anyone on EC from anywhere nearby yet, so I wanted to know if anyone had heard of CI Pride or was, in fact, attending the celebrations. (Plus, a little bit of advice on what to expect might help.) Maybe you could share an experience of a Pride event near you?
I feel stupid saying this, but I didn't even know there were islands between France and the UK. *hides in shame*
