What option scares you the most and why?

You might want to consider how much time you spend thinking about each item.

I have my own thoughts about this, but I don't want to influence answers.

    Here's my inspiration...

Those options, on the pyramid, are supposed to be scary?

The pyramid inspired me to create the scary options. There have been threads before about what scares people, and I didn't want to create something too similar.

Death. It's like the one thing in humanity that you can't express how it feels, nor will you ever get a first-hand account.

Plus, it's something in life everyone is bound to experience at some point. It's scary as heck.

All of that scares me honestly, but I would say death or rejection. Closely followed by lack of internet access. lol

For me it's death, not my own but the death of the people I love.

    I voted for FAILURE.
I know that we need to fail in order to be successful and it is inevitable, but at this point/time of my life (graduating; soon to be a job hunter; in the verge of starting new chapter in life), I cant afford to fail. Having myself to stand on my own feet is the only key I have to escape from my family and be free.

Though, it is hard to chose from it because all of it are scary!
Death. I have to achieve MANY more things before I can peacefully slumber in my coffin. And as of now, I havent even achieved the 20% of it!
Pain. Physical pain is curable, but emotional pain isnt. For me, emotional pain is 70x7 more painful physical pain.
Rejection. Especially when you have prepared yourself for the best, then all of a sudden... REJECT! Ouch!
Lack of internet connection. Well, this only means one thing... I have to buy/rent gay porn CD's  Hahaha! JK! Most of my friends are online, so being unable to connect to the internet is almost synonymous to me watching them (my online friends) leaving me alone.

no, they're the needs of a human being from food, water, air and shelter to self fulfillment and making the most of your life and living a truly good life

    ---------- Post added 17th Sep 2015 at 08:53 AM ----------

I chose Failure because there is no need to fear the lose of life only having a life worth losing. If you feel pain then you're doing something right because the easy route isn't usually the right route; if someone rejects you then they weren't worth your time in the first place.

I think Kaiser ran into my thread, before I finished adding the poll (I was drinking a cup of tea at the time, so slow pace), so she just saw "Maslow's hierarchy of needs", and was like "WTF?"

Yeah well it can be confusing if you're not taught about it. I know the first time I say it in my Interpersonal communication class I was like WTF!?!?!?!?!?!

I knew my answer before I read the poll. Failure. I cannot tolerate failure in myself. I've lost track of the people who have told me that I'm too hard on myself, but I feel that if I'm not doing my best at everything I do, than what the hell am I doing here?

Death is the ultimate end, and there is no coming back, so I choose that. At least with failure, you have a chance to recover or succeed in the future. I've failed on numerous things in the past but I have always, at some point, managed to redeem myself somehow, or prove myself. I can't do that when I'm dead.

Pain is kinda vague because pain spans from not a big deal to outright horrific. Torture of any kind is probably the worst Thing on the list but since I dont really fear that when I get up every day I'm going to go with the next worst thing. aliens

    I'd have to say pain.

Physical/chronic pain is really hard to deal with, and so many times, you get looked at as if your'e just making it up.

Well, some day, there'll be a cure for pain...

Apart from the thought of losing those I love, I must say failure scares me the most.
I'm scared of becoming a total failure and ending up leaving nothing behind, no wisdom, no art, nothing to show that my life had any meaning or value, and having no one.

Rejection. It's closest to abandonment, which is my worst fear I can think of.

Failure, because it's cumulative. Most if not all failures make future failures more probable. In the small scale you can learn from failure and do better next time, but too often you are punished in a way that makes it harder to succeed if you try again. A downward spiral is near impossible to escape.

Being alone. But if I had to pick one, lack of WiFi. Seriously though, that'd crush my dreams of being a journalist and I wouldn't be able to contact all my internet friends. I'd be a mess!
