There's no English anthem. The anthem which represents this region is the anthem of the United Kingdom, which represents England & Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The anthem is known as God save the Queen.

Also, my favourite anthem is Auferstanden aus Ruinen and Das Lied der Deutschen ( Risen from the ruins and the song of the Germans)
Auferstanden was the anthem of the land which is now East Germany and Das Lied is the anthem of the whole unified Germany.
Here they are -

personally i think 'god save the queen' is possibly the worst national anthem out there. Its completely unmoving,we should have Jerusalem or I vow to thee my country as our national anthem-songs which actually move people and inspire people with patriotism. For example in 2005 when england beat australia in the ashes (this is a really historic cricket series every 2 years between england and australia which is a veryyyyy big deal for both countries) they didnt play god save the queen coz they realised it didnt fire up the crowd or the team, they played jerusalem before every one of the 5 matches and it got the crowd and england team really motivated!!! we should change it!!!

anyway rant over...i went with france coz it has a tune you just wanna sing along to lol

Oh Canada!

I like theirs because it actually makes sense and talks about things relevant to Canada. "Star Spangled Banner" is about one battle in a war that's largely a footnote in our nation's history. It's a neat tune, but not national anthem material. Now "America The Beautiful," on the other hand, I think would make a fine anthem for the U.S.

United Nations anthem is quite interesting. Well, it's more of a song written for the United Nations rather than an anthem.

thoughts?

Also NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organisation) has anthem, which I think was most likely influenced by Americans quite a bit.

I know it might be a bit sacrilegious to say this on a forum with a large amount of Americans, but I actually prefer the confederate anthem to the one of the U.S.A. Disregarding lyrics ofcourse, because they're terrible! About two minutes of talking about God protecting them. No no. Just the tune really.

I've grown to dislike the US anthem, probably because I've heard it so many times, and the process of standing with your hand on your chest has become more routine than meaningful.
