There'll always be psychos. And yes, gay bars will always be a target. It's horrible, but all we can do is catch these people and make sure we're secure. I'm not even convinced this guy has it, he's more likely to be a nutcase who wants to scare us.

I really don't see how the crime can be carried out though.
He'd need to have an accomplice at each and every bar to drug the drinks.
Besides, if the bars started to work together, they could identify guests who come and then compare who visited and around what time.
If the person visited each bar the people would put the obvious together and figure out that it's him.

Anyways, that's very scary and just plain sick.

Which reminds me... a gay disco here in Bremen is/was (I'm not too sure) under investigation for man-slaughter.

I'm sure the person who is threatening this will be caught, they mentioned getting the FBI involved which is good and makes me confident that the situation will be handled professionally and swiftly, well at least i hope it will

that means each bar has to take photos of ts customers and put it on something which theother bars could see. there could be alot of guests ...

Well - due to its extreme toxicity (it's orders of magnitude more toxic than cyanide) it would imply a single drop of it into a drink, or poking someone with a needle covered in it, or to throw it in powder form in a closed space (that would require about 4 grams per square meter, for 50% lethality)... it is not hard because of the minute amounts required for effectiveness.

In fact, the main problem with ricin for an inexperienced killer would be getting poisoned himself.

He'd have to go to 11 gay bars. Supposing that he's 30 minutes in each, it would take him 5 hours and a half... a single night. That is actually the easiest part.

Plus, if he's young, someone will invite him with a drink. That's the way it is, sadly... younger boys particularly are "fresh meat". :S
