I've found that I rebel against things that other people find "normal". Like on weekends, when everyone else is taking an afternoon nap, I stay awake because I don't want to be like them. I want to be individual and different. Also when I sit with my chin resting on my fist or hand, and someone else does the same, I'd sit in a different position because I don't want to be like them/don't want them doing what I'm doing. I've been this way since I can remember and I don't think I'd easily - if ever - change my ways. So, are you rebellious?

That depends on the definition of being a rebel and being rebellious.
They way you describe it, no. I don't do things because others don't do it and I don't change my behavior just to be different from the people around.
Doing things for just being different, that wouldn't be me and I would kinda feel like lying to myself and betraying my own belief.

But when I take my definition, then yes. I am who I am and I do things my way, no matter what society things and if it fits the norm or not. That's enough for me to count me as kinda 'rebellious'.

    For example:
I am alternative/goth and I don't care what people think about it. I'm not doing this for being different from others, I do it because I want it.
When my actions or my thoughts are different from the majority, it's fine. I have my own opinions and I have no fear to raise my voice and stand up for my opinion. I also raise my voice for the ones without. (Maybe I'm more a campaigner instead of rebel, haha, I dunno).

But I don't want to conform to society and their conventions. I don't want to be a sheep in the crowd that follows the norms of society. But instead of doing always the opposite of others, I just do what I want and what I think is the best for me and what's right imo.

When I think about it.. I have never really seen myself doing stuff just do be different, at least not intended to do so.

I'd say I'm a rebel going by two different definitions of the word:

One, not wanting to conform to anyone's stereotype, wanting to be different from the crowd. I rebel against societal norms.

And two, in a more literal sense of the term: if someone orders me to do something, especially if that person is younger than me, there's a part of me that just doesn't want to do it.

Depends on what you think rebel means.
At some cases, most of the members in this forum are rebels cos they accepted their sexuality.

    So am I a rebel?
    No.
am I a man of logic and sense?
    Yes.

It depends. I do rebel in small ways-against the rules, stereotypes. I say what I think. But sometimes, if I think the risk is too large, I don't. I'm not much of a risk taker.

So...when everyone is living, you play dead because you don't want to be like them?

I'm such a rebel that I'm not going to answer your question.

I have a very low tolerance for following social norms simply in attempting to "be normal." Beyond that I really couldn't say.

I do hate mindless conformity, but rebels can be equally annoying, it all depends on who they are and what's their cause..

Rebellion to me, is being yourself. I am not a rebel in the way you described it, because I don't wont change who I am because of those around me, otherwise I am really just creating a new norm, an anti-conformist conformity. I am also alternative/ goth, and I do it because its who I am, not to fight the man or to rebel exclusively. I think if rebellion doesn't come naturally, it might not really be rebellion. I rebel in a lot of way, but I dont do them only to rebel, I do them because they are right for me.

Well I don't try to, but I think I might be, since I have a natural tendency to go against the grain. lol but I don't like it though. I feel like the odd one out quite often, & in a way I wish I could fit in.
