If you are eligible, are you voting?

I just applied for my overseas voting kit. I think I'm going in a different direction this time; in the past I've only ever voted Conservative or NDP (moreso NDP). This time, while I like the Green platform better, I think I'm going to vote Liberal. Anything but Harper pretty much.

Please to God kick Harper out.

He's secretive, uncooperative, has taken Canada from advocating for democracy and humanitarianism globally to a country of relative diplomatic reclusion, relies on jingoistic fear-mongering about national security and has taken the easy path of riding on the back on a natural resources boom and pretending it has been his own economic plan rather than a luck of timing. He all but openly disdains being questioned by the public and the press and has grown exceedingly arrogant in his decade-long rule.

His policies are unoriginal and uninspiring. He does little good for Canada domestically and even less to maintain or improve Canada's place on the world stage. My opinion is that he should be thrown out and that it is extremely important for Canada's future that as many people as possible choose to vote in order to do that.

I'll be voting. Though I admit I'm not one for politics. I don't really keep with what's going on beforehand. I do hate those "Against the candidate" ads. "He/She's just not ready." Why do politicians always resort to name-calling. It's not professional.

Yes, I will be voting. I'll most likely vote for the Greens.

Wait, I thought you guys still had a Queen, that rules up yonder...

    Kidding

    Please, please, vote Harper out!!!

And also, shut down those tar sands, for the sake of all living creatures. I'll work on ending fracking, here, and getting folks to dive less and bike, walk, and use mass-transit more...

I usually vote conservative or NDP as well. However, I just can't stand Trudeau and his campaign, he's so full of it. He's always relying on that Kathleen Wynne and she's made a mess of Ontario. :/ IMO, we can't win in this election, all 3 are rubbish

I'm usually not someone who cares to get involved in politics, however, I'm very strongly on team "anybody but Harper". I think it's gonna be pretty close between ndp and liberal when the votes get counted.

If I got a vote, I'd cast my ballot for the Liberal Party, though I think Justin Trudeau comes across as a slimy politician at best and an overgrown frat boy running on the family name at worst.

Well, I hope that the Harper government is voted out. At the moment though it looks like that they are on track to be able to form a minority government.

We're basically a failed nation if the conservatives get a majority again - maybe England should revoke our status.

Well, if Trudeau’s son is elected, we have to rewrite the motto of Canada; D’un Trudeau à l’autre (because it’s more funny in French, Trudeau sound like trou d’eau, which means a water hole).

Sadly, most of my family will vote for him just because we have ties with him. But I really don’t care, I will vote for the Greens.

Yep, I will definitely be voting. I'll probably be voting for the NDP, although I'm sort of intrigued by some of the Green Party's ideas.

Yeah, no kidding. I tend to lean more centre-right but the conservatives have just been behaving so badly recently its making it nigh impossible to vote for them any more. However neither the Liberals or NDP have policy platforms I really agree with and voting Green would just be throwing my vote away since there is no way they are winning in my riding given historical voting patterns.

I don't understand why the green party gets so little attention since they have a solid platform!

That is exactly my sentiment as well. The conservatives have gutted basic scientific research, the Liberals seem like a bunch of neophyte idiots, and the "left-wing" NDP is a perfect case study of the politics of irony, thinking they are only electable if they swing far to the right of where they used to be...Quebecers especially, who once supported them smell a rat and can no longer be counted on to support them.

So I have no idea who to vote for, none of them stand for anything.
