http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/merseyside/7822145.stm A 46 year old man has been murdered near mine and his son is in critical condition. Speedwell Road is literally about 5 minutes walk away from me (I can see it from my street) and apparently the murderer has ran off onto the local woodlands, which would explain why the police helicopters are flying around searching. Tis all pretty scary. It all looks pretty big as the east side of the village has been cordoned off and there are helicopters flying over the woodlands searching. Tis the first time I can recall anything like this happening in the village I live in. Tis fairly small and quiet usually. I have no idea who the people are yet, but I hope it's not anybody I know. >.< I feel sorry for whoever it is though. RIP
Becareful, suggest you not to walk in alleways at night. I think there was a murder near mine to my bro saw a lot of officers in the park with guns .
Here's the latest rumor from the village (from my gossip nan who apparently knows the family): The guy who stabbed them had recently split up with his wife. Apparently his wife was cheating on him with the victim and he found out about it. He went round to visit the guy and stabbed him, and his 14 year old son had tried to defend his dad and got stabbed too. I have no idea how true it is but the media is reporting an argument took place (not what it's about), but it does seem rather messed up.
I don't get nightmares much but if that happened near me, I would be getting some I am almost sure of it. hope the son gets better take Myzou's advice.
We had something similar happen a few years ago here in town. A guy walks into the local bowling alley and shoots his ex-wife's boyfriend, in front of their kids and several other families there. There were helicopters flying over town, and everybody was in a complete state of shock that something like that would happen here. The shooter turned out to be the father of one of my sister's friends, and my parents knew the victim. Crazy, scary stuff. Be safe Martin(*hug*).
He still hasn't been caught. Apparently armed police have the whole of Bidston Hill (woodlands) closed off to the public and are searching for him up there. If he is up there then there are a million and one places he could be hiding. The east side of the village is still cordoned off and the police are still lurking about everywhere. The 14 year old boy is still in a stable (but critical) condition.
