    There have been a number of birthday threads on this forum, but I can't seem to find a thread in the last couple years where we have actually polled this and found out, once and for all, which group has the highest numbers on this site. We need to know where we all stand for when the revolution strikes...

    I am was born in the greatest month of them all. The month that ushers in the summer season for all of us in the North. The month of June. It is unreal how fitting it is to have been born in the middle of the summer solstice considering, like the summer Sun, my birth breathed light into what was once a sad, sad world. :eusa_ange

    January. The 5th, to be exact. And I hate it! You never got or get any presents(or maybe a few crappy ones), because it's right after Christmas, and everyone is too tired out from Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years to really even notice it, throw you a party, or generally give two shits.

    I've always hated having it on this date.

    But I do like the cold and snow; I was born in Michigan, during which is usually one of the coldest periods, and it is true that I loathe heat and humidity, and find temperatures above 80 to be too hot.

    I hope this winter sees the ENTIRE country blanketed in 10 feet of snow, in a freak blizzard...even in places like California and Florida, where they don't get snow. I think that'd be so funny to see, SF and LA and all those places, buried under so much snow! I'd never stop laughing. That would be my ideal birthday present...

    I know it's a tad mean...but try having a January birthday! It'll make you meaner than the Grinch, anyday! :slight_smile: Plus, snow is nice, and fluffy.

    I wonder if there's any others with birthdays so close to the major winter holidays, and if they had the same lack of any kind of 'celebration' go on.

    I hear you. I've lived here my whole life and I love Winter. I've been counting down the days until Winter since the first day of Spring.

    Yes, please. I can absolutely live with that. Although I do have to say to anyone who lives in a relatively snow-deprived area: come experience a brutal Michigan winter and watch yourself never complain about anything less than six inches again. :wink:

    Well, back when we still did holidays (when I was six or seven, before my mother found religion) we'd still do birthday and Christmas separately. What I hated was that, because my sister, who was born within three weeks of me (but three years later), had her birthday earlier in the month, we'd always celebrate both on her birthday. I felt ripped off, to be honest.
